Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant; q1 V3 y# z$ c
Location: Edmonton

Major Responsibilities:
0 u% D) a& t' ?/ a# B5 C• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.9 c' b8 Z; V+ C9 q1 s t( D9 P; B8 Y6 D
• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.% L$ U% }' e3 x; |. p" h- K
• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.
9 A) c- B* q4 d& B7 Z8 v0 b7 h• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office.1 o6 c' t3 Q( i# f' T9 E; F) e
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.+ g" N3 j4 M% e6 u" k
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
' f; k" \) q6 _• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
4 c# Z5 e# p8 b: z, U7 U' D8 E• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.4 p9 j! [( w0 H8 G9 t
• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.
6 Q5 L! F0 S! q• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.( T9 s4 s; s4 L% s% k0 M, M
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.2 Z( |3 p: V% n3 b% I) y
• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.

Qualifications:$ C2 b& N( ^$ F' f/ c! O/ U
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. 2 G' S6 C0 P2 v, y" E
• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
- p! L" r4 F v0 T1 x• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. 6 S7 X9 l0 R% v. M) X: `7 S
• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. & b5 A9 V8 N: s' x8 L
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential

% s0 j- M) v: H• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other# I2 M) h- T- J( k) r
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. 4 G, [8 f* C" s1 ^

• Demonstrated success in working as a team member.
