Position Title: New Equipment Sales Consultant
/ M# Z# U/ k M% E4 BLocation: Edmonton; I6 z7 B8 J& N* q7 O2 o
Reports to: National Sales Manager

Major Responsibilities:
p) a' n9 g- s# K• Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes). This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
5 f7 Q( v' a2 U5 |/ f( K% F8 c. n• Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
- k9 J+ Q+ {& x. x3 o5 c+ M* h• Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations. This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements. 2 @' I5 T: J% g; J( c- P. ~ ?4 d' D
• Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required. This maybe in the field or in the office., \! `5 x V" G+ K, v3 _" X
• Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.! Q( N0 {3 ]6 s) V0 E) a
• Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.% I% b# c( a5 y, D' r* ^9 g( J
• Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
- Q3 }$ O ` N$ J# Y0 L* c; L! }, L• Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
' Z) a$ \* A( B. s) |9 H7 K( m• Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.- D2 _* g5 z# A
• Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.- d$ k! c/ J. d$ _ o. B
• Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc. Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
8 V3 w) `% G9 a5 E l" Y+ o• Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services. Recommend changes.
}$ L9 r' t! t8 t& x# V. v$ t% ~• Actively participate as member of sales team. Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

9 L. g; P. t9 o% [ M* E- IQualifications:" M. V4 r0 E2 \/ n* {/ n" g# E* H$ x* v
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
+ w2 s% X, R) T4 E• Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. 5 F; y* l4 E3 W+ G5 y! E/ S& D
• 3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment.
- @1 p' {+ S& f: U+ F$ f7 V' l• Mechanical/electrical aptitude. ! b9 h& ?9 n4 L
• Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
% T M, D+ Y% C• Not scared of heights3 n5 F4 r1 ]7 r$ |$ t
• Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other. [& g$ C' [7 v$ Y; E. R
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
