& b8 M7 j" A# Y6 x+ P * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
3 M$ x9 P- S( L8 \6 V * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
* x8 `- z- y6 q" S* I) G K * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
y# J! |0 _- M" l( b * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat' V0 d! l, T1 W. M3 ^0 a8 @( z- O! ~. p: L
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders( A3 i+ h: e- t! J; k5 r% H
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements! F- N- D5 h: @5 u- N6 w2 \2 B. Y2 Y
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs
. v: p, p8 S/ ` * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
- N4 e8 t: F" V. i1 |0 w! } * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning
# p' E3 l `* w * Develops high quality promotional and educational materials
+ q9 c* `8 n7 b. D * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
! w3 S; x* `7 U * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results- G" E, P- A8 ~3 `* D* b) S7 y
* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
# X. V1 Y- w2 l * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
/ W6 ]" s. G+ r \4 q * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset, w( {" Y1 S! {0 d
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies8 D) A" Q4 j# |9 i7 [2 Y
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills2 A1 n0 p/ w# a4 g1 A# i8 u
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning/ S6 d5 C [% J& e1 A. }/ S
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)4 j4 [6 c9 }* Z1 Z4 G% {
* Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills. m% `6 V5 N2 t% X
