Duties/ \2 | l R5 C5 D

* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program& E' N5 n: C- c8 \! T3 T
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
8 x' D9 [4 i. X# r * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
) w- P, R: d- \ G * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
$ e/ ?7 N8 N% W! ^" M0 H0 B * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders* D( s/ ^, Q; E- T3 G
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
9 [7 B+ }% S1 _% p5 t& J0 M- A * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs

* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning5 O/ k/ R8 O+ b: g
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials3 V- m" |- S- J+ s7 X
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media

* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies2 w0 _1 S% Y( D& @) s& Q8 m

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred3 X8 A, j3 o4 A2 }8 h. C
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
7 N2 K5 \# l, x. f1 `& \# l * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset$ i$ l: e* D3 y2 Z# v
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies9 y% r2 R! k. G3 _# E6 `- x! J
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills8 I3 o& [! x) V! _7 }
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
- J* C9 J; }. K0 Y5 e( i8 n * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
