Duties/ u) ?3 n% p( j) s

$ O; ~1 W; r: X1 a' x    * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program$ h9 P3 y6 C3 J6 {$ R9 C& w
    * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities) g/ E1 |! k* l
    * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes4 o( n% `! x) L) I* H! w
    * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
: `6 {1 b' q/ s. h    * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
/ T# U% x# J. L* }) z, D" X    * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
  T8 g; t% W/ ?; o    * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs) l; E- z9 `7 Q/ t
    * Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
3 C; x" C: Y4 f  {6 R; {    * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

    * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media2 M1 y* f& U0 x  G1 Z
    * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
, k7 h7 x* m$ `/ \6 ]! U0 w0 w    * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

- r! I1 ?! w7 ^    * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred+ Z4 d$ x$ M+ Z/ I& L7 b
    * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
* g" ]) \* B2 @9 x) f    * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
- i5 a3 d* _) W% P  {# O    * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies, {! u4 @( Z: ?. |1 A9 Q0 A  P
    * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
8 ]0 g1 X, y5 S/ C    * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning: d* G) a' R  |( ~5 `
    * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)- P0 Y0 s6 U' c& x
    * Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills+ a! T* \* W0 a9 f+ ?
