4 h' i8 A+ I- q4 a" P L# Z- _ * Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates programs and services to address the unique educational and social needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified,two-spirited and queer (LGBTTQ) youth in the Edmonton region6 I( E" I5 V0 b5 c G
* Develops and delivers community-based programming and provides support services for Youth Understanding Youth, Edmonton's sexual minority community youth group7 [( S* e) B( F& [
* Trains,motivates and supports volunteer adult facilitators8 v* q5 b! G- B6 v+ g
* Acts as a resource on LGBTTQ youth issues for Institute staff, community, and governmental organizations% |4 h9 T. D' s+ v
* Provides interim quarterly reports and an overall annual productivity report and evaluation to the Assistant Director
7 o9 i$ D& E+ C6 [ * Liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning and management; monitors project related expenses

Qualifications, S! n' ]2 |) ?) I0 i! |% W
# Q$ d% ]$ h6 b * Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline
1 g# y0 x* Q" L S; F * Three to five years experience in community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth1 D6 O3 R$ _- y0 o1 q" }# I) Z
* Knowledge in adolescent development, health and sex education, violence prevention,suicide intervention, alcohol and substance abuse, HIV and STI prevention and harm reduction strategies8 O8 M0 M5 S* {
* Experience in developing and providing youth-oriented programs
! b+ r2 {1 L5 @ J' z * Demonstrated effectiveness in working with the LGBTTQ community

* Demonstrated experience in development of youth group programming, community outreach,volunteer management and training and conflict resolution skills
