7 @; t+ `; b5 V! W; t0 Q7 G    * Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates programs and services to address the unique educational and social needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified,two-spirited and queer (LGBTTQ) youth in the Edmonton region
    * Develops and delivers community-based programming and provides support services for Youth Understanding Youth, Edmonton's sexual minority community youth group
* h) D% j5 v9 p' a    * Trains,motivates and supports volunteer adult facilitators
    * Acts as a resource on LGBTTQ youth issues for Institute staff, community, and governmental organizations
    * Provides interim quarterly reports and an overall annual productivity report and evaluation to the Assistant Director
    * Liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning and management; monitors project related expenses
1 s% c4 f/ I4 v    * Advocates to meet the health, social and safety needs of LGBTTQ and questioning youth
) U7 G  S% L9 D& l/ F8 F) V5 `    * Researches and develops a LGBTTQ youth mentoring program
/ I4 a0 `, g3 C# U# I* e    * Develops, implements and monitors a LGBTTQ youth risk and needs assessment
3 K3 M9 l4 `6 @    * Develops benchmarks to assist in the evaluation of YUY programming and outreach supports
5 Z6 i2 p# T8 b+ F    * Develops promotional materials such as posters, brochures, and displays to promote the youth group and mentoring programs
    * Participates in the development of leadership training and educational programming at Camp fYrefly
    * Supports University of Alberta campus organizations for sexual minority students and gay-straight student alliances in local high schools and communities

    * Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline
5 J0 Q1 `( J5 F7 H1 h* L: u    * Three to five years experience in community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
0 z4 R; \8 C. w2 D    * Knowledge in adolescent development, health and sex education, violence prevention,suicide intervention, alcohol and substance abuse, HIV and STI prevention and harm reduction strategies
    * Experience in developing and providing youth-oriented programs
    * Demonstrated effectiveness in working with the LGBTTQ community

    * Demonstrated experience in development of youth group programming, community outreach,volunteer management and training and conflict resolution skills
    * Outstanding group facilitation, training, and counselling skills
    * Proven leadership, and strong team, and relationship building skills
    * Excellent communication (oral, written, and web-based), organizational and interpersonal skills
    * Understanding of other languages and experiences working within Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
