7 @; t+ `; b5 V! W; t0 Q7 G * Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates programs and services to address the unique educational and social needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified,two-spirited and queer (LGBTTQ) youth in the Edmonton region# T$ [) D9 ?* F' r: _7 M
* Develops and delivers community-based programming and provides support services for Youth Understanding Youth, Edmonton's sexual minority community youth group
* h) D% j5 v9 p' a * Trains,motivates and supports volunteer adult facilitators/ b7 C: h4 K( h' P( e' r
* Acts as a resource on LGBTTQ youth issues for Institute staff, community, and governmental organizations& u i' j4 P8 L/ ^$ v$ W! ]
* Provides interim quarterly reports and an overall annual productivity report and evaluation to the Assistant Director- @/ m& J9 N7 S
* Liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning and management; monitors project related expenses

* Supports University of Alberta campus organizations for sexual minority students and gay-straight student alliances in local high schools and communities

* Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline
5 J0 Q1 `( J5 F7 H1 h* L: u * Three to five years experience in community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
0 z4 R; \8 C. w2 D * Knowledge in adolescent development, health and sex education, violence prevention,suicide intervention, alcohol and substance abuse, HIV and STI prevention and harm reduction strategies- T. X$ a. _, S$ k1 R
* Experience in developing and providing youth-oriented programs, J3 |5 |! }' X% m, U3 ~
* Demonstrated effectiveness in working with the LGBTTQ community
