Z! v. l! |( Z3 N2 m* sPosition Abstract: as a community organizer you will be responsible for providing training to residents of an inner city community who are actively involved in creating strategies for a healthier neighbourhood. Working towards ensuring wide participation by residents/organizations in the local community you will assist in reinforcing inclusivity. ! K" w( p* g) x! }$ P
_9 Y: c# a0 v& K' p+ KPLUS: a capable advocate for alternative dispute resolution, you will liaise between the community and elected officials/municipal administration, assisting in the development of a strong working relationship between these groups. , l) K! d& B& }- K2 }1 O5 S% |

Education & Experience: the position calls for an individual with education in the humanities or related field + 2 years experience in the field of community organizing. Special interest in ecological literacy and sustainable communities will be an asset.

5 _. x2 S6 u# h: K3 kOther Skills: the successful candidate will have a strong background in building group capacity & seeing projects through to completion. There is a significant element of research and an opportunity for creativity in assisting residents to address community challenges. Working in a non profit environment will mean that experience in sourcing/writing grant proposals is an asset. ! o. b5 K7 {) ^. j! d
