Enhanced Respite Program

The YWCA Edmonton Family Services program is/ u j( c5 T7 T1 y
recruiting for community support workers in the
- ]4 t- R4 v A* @# p+ G* uCoordinated Enhanced Respite program at a variety of
! e: @9 _7 o. d1 h' E8 zlocations in the city.% `6 d2 y8 d4 S, B( S) M
Staff would provide respite care to parents or primary5 w" }1 v; ~+ O9 j
care givers of children with moderate to severe physical5 w7 o! L9 `4 c) V% T, _! i
or cognitive developmental disabilities for shifts of three
9 E+ B: m9 {' x* Z6 ](3) or more hours per day worked. During the school
3 V" M) }+ E6 o8 Z% y" g% eyear, as the children are in school during the day, the
* x% }4 l+ ]' e3 }: J' gbulk of the hours available will be late afternoons and
5 c+ Z- V4 M! v" f9 k+ \. T8 Devenings or on weekends.3 A; G$ M# J: e5 o$ i7 L
However, during the summer months, there will be

Qualifications:
4 |5 f5 g' T0 i2 z0 ~& y• a minimum of six months experience in working% l" p$ U9 ]: C& ?1 ?) [" ^8 {1 K
with children with mental and/or physical' G5 K# K- I( \( v
disabilities (this could include volunteer work)1 S; |0 Z& Y+ T P0 }- n
• the ability to support the clients with all aspects5 m2 q9 I5 a; ?- ^8 {3 B

• Standard First Aide with Level C CPR
