YWCA of Edmonton 全称基督教女青年会，
它的Adult Service Department 和Family Service Department常年招收full time or part time的员工，
工作主要以照看残疾或者精神/行为有障碍的成年人和儿童。

The YWCA Edmonton Family Services program is
recruiting for community support workers in the In
Home Respite program at a variety of locations in the
city.
Staff would provide respite care to parents or primary
care givers of children with mild to moderate physical or
cognitive developmental disabilities for shifts of three (3)
or more hours per day worked. During the school year,
as the children are in school during the day, the bulk of
the hours available will be late afternoons and
evenings or on weekends.
Ideal hours for full time or part time
students
Qualifications:
• a minimum of six months experience in working
with children (this could include volunteer work)
• experience in working with children with
disabilities is an asset
• the ability to support the clients with all aspects
of community inclusion
• Standard First Aide with Level C CPR
• Clear Criminal Record and Child and Youth
Information Module Check current to within last
six months
Job Duties/Responsibilities
• Providing client personal care or behaviour
management
• Assisting clients in performance of daily living
tasks
• Assisting clients to access recreational activities
in their community
• Possibly assisting in medication administration
Wage: $12.00 per hour

Coordinated Enhanced Respite Program
The YWCA Edmonton Family Services program is

Coordinated Enhanced Respite program at a variety of
locations in the city.
Staff would provide respite care to parents or primary
care givers of children with moderate to severe physical
or cognitive developmental disabilities for shifts of three
(3) or more hours per day worked. During the school
year, as the children are in school during the day, the
bulk of the hours available will be late afternoons and
evenings or on weekends.
However, during the summer months, there will be
extended hours available during weekdays while
children are out of school.
Ideal hours for full time or part time
students
Qualifications:
• a minimum of six months experience in working
with children with mental and/or physical
disabilities (this could include volunteer work)
• the ability to support the clients with all aspects
of community inclusion
• Standard First Aide with Level C CPR
• Clear Criminal Record and Child and Youth
Information Module Check current to within last
six months
Job Duties/Responsibilities
• Providing client personal care or behaviour
management
• Assisting clients in performance of daily living
tasks
• Assisting clients to access recreational activities
in their community
• Possibly assisting in medication administration
Positions Available:
North Edmonton
2 children with physical disabilities
• On good bus route
• Double staffing
• Personal care, lifts and transfers
• Wed 3:30 to 9pm, every 2nd Friday 3:30 – 9pm,
Sat and Sun 9-9pm (12 hours)
3 children with double staffing
• 15 hours per week
• Mon, Wed, Fri 4-9pm
• Behaviour management skills required
1 boy with some behavioural issues
• one evening (flexible) per week 5-9 or 6-10pm
• Saturday 4 hours (flexible)
1 boy with some behavioural issues
• 15 hours per week
• 2 days per week and one on weekend
• Current staff going on maternity leave soon
• Poor bus access; vehicle preferable
1 girl with some behavioural issues
• 15 hours per week (3 days)
• 4-9 pm; flexible for which days of week
Southwest Edmonton
2 children with some medical and behavioural issues
• Tuesdays and Fridays 5-10pm
• Every second and third Monday in month 5-10pm
• Every first and last Thursday in month 5-10 pm
Millwoods
1 girl with some behavioural issues
• 3 days per week
• 4-9 pm
• Some staffing already in place

As most of the individuals we serve have day programs
or jobs during the day, the bulk of the hours available
will be late afternoons and evenings or on weekends.
Ideal hours for full time or part time students
Qualifications:
• a minimum of six months experience in working

disabilities
• the ability to support the clients with all aspects
of community inclusion
• Standard First Aide with Level C CPR
• Clear Criminal Record and Child and Youth
Information Module Check current to within last
six months
Job Duties/Responsibilities (also see individual postings
for more specific duties):
• Providing client personal care or behaviour
management
• Assisting clients in performance of daily living
tasks
• Assisting clients to access recreational activities
in their community
• Possibly assisting in medication administration
It is possible to work with more than one client if
yours and clients’ schedules allow it.
Optional participation in Benefits program if
consistently employed more than 20 hours per week

没人想试试吗？
其实这种职位蛮好的，
比端盘子挣的多，
而且不见得累到哪里，
语言要求也还可以，
基本对话能听懂就好，
而且时间上比较自由。
只是一开始的时候就要求有first aid证书，
这个可能需要先考一下了。
对于家里有孩子的，
或者有带过孩子的经验的就够了，
甚至学生也是可以的。
所以，有兴趣的，试试发个简历吧。。。

YWCA的counselling部门pay的高，
学历够，经验够，语言好的可以pay到一小时20多，
还只是每星期来个２次，
接待一下，咨询一下很轻松的。。。
当兼职做很不错。。。
要不您考虑一下这个？
小声嘀咕一句。。。
还怕您达不到要求呢。。。

真的低吗？
你做过还是比较过？？这么有发言权啊～～
我觉得，公正来说，
比起搞工程的，比起注册的这个师那个师，
比起这个欧那个殴，这个工资水平肯定是低的了。
但是比起幼儿园老师的工资来说已经很好了，
比起在麦当劳、餐馆应该是高的了，
而且强度低多了。。。。。。。
而且这些职位的语言、证书等要求都不高，
而且这些个职位对于新移民或者放假期间的学生，
都是相对比较容易得到的。。。
反正我是看到大把的有着稀奇古怪的名字，
不知道什么语的腔调的人做这个的有的是。。
甚至有很多有full time工作的也来申请个part time干干呢。
你想要工资高的部门也有。。
YWCA里有一种FOSTER家庭，
就是类似领养，让他们住在自己家里，
平时带着看看病，出去玩玩，
一个月３、４千的收入，
而且这些收入完全不用交税。。。
比我这个全职的挣的还多。。。
要不，考虑下这个？？

谢谢发财。。。。
其实啰嗦归啰嗦，
还是希望能对大家有所帮助，
或者有所启示。。。
找工作也不一定要盯着洗碗那种地方。

这个地方的工作除了前面提到过的好处外，
我想还有几方面，
第一，可以真切的了解到加拿大社会，及它的福利政策，
第二，可以了解到真实的人们的生活，
第三，可以多练习英语。
第四，以后找工作时候就有很好的推荐人了。

也许有些人觉得这是伺候人的活儿不屑去做，
但是对于刚刚在一个新的坏境里起步的人来讲，
不是所有的人都可以一下找到薪水很好的工作，
不是所有的人都可以找到一个没有歧视的环境，
从艰难处起步，未必不是人生另一种风景。。。。

赫赫，经验是什么？
经验是一步步做出来的。。。
当然也要靠学习。。。
做过了，就有经验了。。。
YWCA提供相应方面员工培训，
比如医药知识，行为管理等。。。
赫赫，可以试一下，
万一就行了呢。。。
