Interior Designer

specifications of commercial-grade office furniture and systems products.

requirements within allotted time and budget constraints. This position reports

that do not have multiple designers and a design supervisor.

measure layout.
! |3 p# A6 p) q2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
- S! {. C" x* z0 O! ^* Jproduct pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built0 D" I; V q' t( d4 g
drawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
i/ O* C' r. i5 w }- j8 [specification and installation.
( _" k" G9 ?/ F# H: ~$ P! U3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning9 k% J* ?2 ?$ S f! a; {$ Q- ^
meetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these5 G' h0 `) [7 [* B8 E
needs.
' d- N0 W5 m8 r5 a- p" M4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
. q; |( O- Z' n# i+ Uroutine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
" B% B" o* |1 l$ b5 s2 T1 J, {6 R5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction% f6 `- x; x' V/ f* M# ?' y; Q( a/ e
plans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job6 _0 ~4 ]( p! J* m7 i \4 K; P
site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence4 t6 C# |$ ^2 s* \/ E' O
checks.

& Design (A&D) drawing sets.
3 S9 a1 q# y; x7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,
; T! O$ ?9 ]) j N0 i/ kassures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes

8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job% H. z" T# u$ n
inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.0 [: Q9 D8 y) y' L5 K) r
9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.' q6 q. Q1 s: m2 n/ _) z1 ~

meetings with the furniture management team.

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a/ I0 q! S( M3 `* u% T2 K+ T
related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and
+ Y/ X# t3 s1 ?8 ?1 W/ I. Gexperience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general
" y' x+ h, j# X5 v0 Sknowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.
