To perform furniture assembly, reconfiguration tasks and functions pertaining to

excellent customer satisfaction. Assists in training and provides work direction

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.

1 B2 ^, I7 ?  c& R( d) U1 [· Ensure customer’s furniture orders are installed and assembled accurately and
in a timely fashion.
6 n- V* K( q* I" V9 ^8 L1 k) [' F· Loads furniture orders onto truck and delivers product to customer.
' L0 {8 u% e* \) f; {· Drives to customer location and complete furniture assembly/installation to
+ R4 {$ p* i5 j1 B8 Lmeet customer satisfaction. Inspects furniture for additional defects.
: U( D5 t" p! u' H0 T· Installs all types of free-standing furniture, panel and modular systems. This
includes placement, leveling, wipe-down, and possible reconfigurations of metal

· Develops team skills in assisting with project management.

Interior Designer

PURPOSE:

Responsible for activities related to design, space planning, layout, and
specifications of commercial-grade office furniture and systems products.
+ w: N% I9 Z( DCoordinates and implements detailed space plans to address customer space
requirements within allotted time and budget constraints. This position reports
( z/ `$ s- |) d& _( Pto the Supervisor, Interior Design or the furniture leader in those divisions
that do not have multiple designers and a design supervisor.

. d! ]+ K# G4 F0 f* D/ ?ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance. Other duties may

% V" o: k9 q- t7 q1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of
furniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to
measure layout.
! |3 p# A6 p) q2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
- S! {. C" x* z0 O! ^* Jproduct pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built
drawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
  i/ O* C' r. i5 w  }- j8 [specification and installation.
( _" k" G9 ?/ F# H: ~$ P! U3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning
meetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these
needs.
' d- N0 W5 m8 r5 a- p" M4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
. q; |( O- Z' n# i+ Uroutine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
" B% B" o* |1 l$ b5 s2 T1 J, {6 R5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
plans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job
site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence
checks.
3 N- Q- U+ [* W  Q8 I8 q/ v2 J6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect
& Design (A&D) drawing sets.
3 S9 a1 q# y; x7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,
; T! O$ ?9 ]) j  N0 i/ kassures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes
7 ?; K, B4 ]9 y. y, y) B, ~and revisions.
8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job
inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.
10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.
11. Participates in work-in-progress (WIP) and open order backlog review
meetings with the furniture management team.

interior design department employees, furniture personnel, sales team, order

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a
related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and

" y' x+ h, j# X5 v0 Sknowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.
