Interior Designer

PURPOSE:

Coordinates and implements detailed space plans to address customer space

to the Supervisor, Interior Design or the furniture leader in those divisions

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance. Other duties may

& W% h3 J! n+ j- S1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of

2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
& ?* n; F7 H2 G9 Nproduct pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built l9 z: C# g7 V. Z5 n" ]! f3 N
drawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
2 C& J+ v! s8 Cspecification and installation.' y, L; x0 J, c" q) D$ k
3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning' t& h3 J# h5 V' d. U/ j6 Q& p
meetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these8 ^, G+ S0 _( U, O4 c* U. D1 T
needs.
7 M/ \: o/ }3 K6 c; {& g4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering+ m- E2 q) C! \2 S* b
routine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
$ q2 d* \0 D7 p# ?/ @5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
, p+ Q$ u" ?% b4 nplans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job9 v: e! a4 }$ E/ o5 i/ {# s' B& }
site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence

6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect2 `8 q7 e$ a1 B# V5 O
& Design (A&D) drawing sets.

assures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes

; t4 z; w# a6 v& G! M" v' y# o0 l8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job( I, P! y9 Y" z4 R1 @+ }
inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.

10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.6 g7 y& `2 ]- |4 Q

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:6 y: D+ K6 l: t
* k& u/ k$ z, r& h, `! X/ h6 oBachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a0 ^1 N9 [) F! ~" _
related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and
8 P- A+ Z, }/ |) Bexperience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general S1 Y, w' @# ?( `
knowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.
