Edmonton's newest Festival to Celebrate Arts and Aging will be held in Edmonton from June 2 - 8, 2008.

) E5 f% u+ q3 G3 LThe purpose of the festival is to celebrate and recognize senior artists, encourage more older adults (55 yrs+) to get involved in the arts, and increase the number of seniors' art opportunities in Edmonton.

Monday June 2

4 H- O8 M3 e$ T- r, s) R' ^3 I5 g1 i9:30 am -  12 noon              Festival Launch Event at City Hall (with performers, displays, keynote speakers Susan Perlstein, roving performers/ entertainers and                            official launch greeting from Mayor Mandel

Tuesday June 3

8:30 am - 5 pm          Celebration of Creative Aging Symposium (at Telus Centre- U of A) with keynote speaker Susan Perlstein and numerous breakout                                    sessions.  This symposium is free, you must pre-register and is especially appropriate for anyone involved in planning programs for                             seniors.
