JERUSALEM - Israel is sending disaster relief to China.

3 |) G8 o/ _2 K( c! M5 r6 nForeign Ministry spokesman Arye Mekel says a plane is on the way to southern China carrying clothing, medical supplies, generators and tents for victims of the May 12 earthquake.

Mekel estimated the shipment was worth US$1.5 million and said it was due to arrive in China later today.5 Q. d8 i# g% |: a
