Idioms----I learned some idioms and made some sentence. Who can guess the meanin

He quit his job as soon as he  got an interview with a publishing company.. He really jumped the gun.
& W2 W% t  ^2 PHis wife saw he having lunch with a female client in a restaurant, she jumped the gun and accused him of having an affair.
" t1 B6 Y1 u4 L* ]) LHold your horses, otherwise you may make a mistake.3 W( z4 J) \9 @/ z
You won’t get burned by choosing our product.
& [6 o  x2 x: y$ P/ QHe wants to have his cake and eat it, but there is no doubt that he won’t be successful without hard working.& q2 Q% i: m* R2 p
They were supposed to win, but Jim blew it. Eventually they took second place in the game..+ Y+ V5 X9 Q7 t0 a
My goodness! We have to be back to square one because we get the wrong direction.

About one year ago I met a girl in university, I slept with her after our first date, we really jumped the gun and had a good time as well. However, when I proposed to her, she said, "Hold your horses", it turned out she was married! Obviously, I would get burned if her husband knew about our affair, so I told her explicitly, "You can't be married and single, you can't have your cake and eat it, too!",  I was very upset, coz I was expecting a serious relationship, but she blew it! She had a family, she even had a son, she just cheated on me, that is way off base! After I broke up with her, I have to be back to square one and look for a new relationship.

mostly good, but I don't think the "get burned" and "blew it" is used properly here.

I tried to apply all of these idioms to my story,  I believe each of them fits well.

get burned = get into trouble
