- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
& {7 e q9 D; Q0 X# C$ p- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team* c. @, T- ~2 A$ b: p

Qualifications:

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
+ t& X0 s" S% m/ }- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services! u' ^7 p/ @' p/ i. g
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
: K: N3 s8 z# y, [- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
) P' u. R, H/ S# k5 f- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
3 B# \5 y8 ^; j$ I% u8 H- update ASSIST website
' H5 M U# L" t$ N- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre/ f! x2 V F: t- `
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services6 x D& N7 M9 l r0 w9 X8 d0 K
- assist in writing proposal for ISP+ Z9 V3 X6 @4 k, S
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP& y. l0 r3 t$ i0 y. w- W
- hold regular meetings with ISP team
6 z& p4 h" i/ u* k: X# `2 T2 m- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
# R4 }" V! I8 ?4 X' {2 r- good oral and written Chinese and English skills# w' B& y8 M4 Y1 v# W8 ^
- experience in community work and immigrant services! l. j% s+ _' }/ {; @
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset) f4 y& T8 l& G5 ?
