Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.& J t# m: Q# Q% @( n) _4 s1 Q
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
. ]: y; |1 \3 ?9 e3 `- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:- l9 P. H" [& c
- post secondary diploma
7 g0 d0 O/ M) g7 `- customer service and office clerical experiences
' f6 Z8 p9 C/ b D- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community5 Y- t- L' D/ e0 \2 C; P9 |3 j
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
5 O1 f. j2 p% i- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
& ^8 N0 _' p: o# T! a- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies+ V# e/ S" ]9 f; e, l* l2 t0 u" U
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members1 x1 P" @& H, E2 A8 Z: F+ e
- update ASSIST website Z2 n$ B' \$ A- q$ [
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
% z! s: [8 z5 G! p- n* S( h- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services2 s7 e1 W4 y D
- assist in writing proposal for ISP7 z3 n% ~' ^* T; h3 E. v7 R
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP

$ x: {) M$ ]/ X: w5 W- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education & v7 e& P+ F6 z: n Q2 G
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills* [: @$ u( a2 k. Q0 q, [1 x% H
- experience in community work and immigrant services
