Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.

- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

- customer service and office clerical experiences

Job Description
z, T$ _% j1 I7 g& U- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community5 x( a' S/ V* }' q1 X {+ [
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
. ]1 d& d1 g/ E- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
+ J* X# L2 e) A0 F/ s- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
3 J4 b: x2 A$ M- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
, f7 I3 {2 n, [ B- update ASSIST website7 M4 J; ?# q# L0 p/ K' ~( M
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre* h; y- N( u& k7 h/ F& s
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services* d7 I Y- S9 Z3 w- ?9 Y
- assist in writing proposal for ISP
5 l1 T0 u+ n4 A- write quarterly and final reports for ISP u4 A6 H6 h4 U1 y; A
- hold regular meetings with ISP team. D. W, m( g, s5 E+ B
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)3 k2 \- V% S: s- ?# F0 Q& Y$ c

Qualifications
& i# P9 X; a* c; Z. O- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education ' ~% ]+ ~2 q, U3 B8 M3 w B/ B
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
. u7 g/ y, a# u `+ D7 n- experience in community work and immigrant services
. z' a5 _3 |/ d" ?- {& M5 y2 S( R- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset7 I' T* B: n; {' e$ Y& y; b) I
