This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
* n @( l. _- Nbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.6 D0 N/ I4 }/ E$ p8 c$ v

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials2 g) @2 M' x6 x8 F" x- M' ^& K
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different) _( R. @0 f% M( [7 }# g# Q, |" |
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.2 z9 T7 Q6 W1 I# z; H+ b
