EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association，就是我们加入的那个协会）在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。; F( K5 k! r( u

This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for, ]4 V) R' e3 N5 f) \- N) m/ U
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials+ C2 ^: V- h. i5 n& S E
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different# {8 P4 u; G0 |$ w/ g! u( ~) V; X
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.. G4 E. n7 `7 q' V. J! r

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
