EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association，就是我们加入的那个协会）在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。

4 V- i/ r" u) BThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for2 ~9 @' }5 c- S# h, R8 B
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

* H" I6 L* G+ Z, nTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials* U2 ~) m( q7 j+ d* O! [) A
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different4 s4 s: {; P j
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.0 O o4 G5 N0 h" R* ?5 {6 l

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
