This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for1 t4 q$ F" h; Y H( C# p( Z
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.6 _$ x# h$ I( j1 H( l0 c

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
$ c4 H! j0 h+ \$ p' k$ pof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different2 j1 x) s* ~# z: m* H/ Y
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.) e2 n* J# Z4 m- [5 n& E* r
7 P" z P. m* p; Z6 eCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
