This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for3 U1 I- o- f6 ~' ~# }# m8 f
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.% H5 R. Q! K- A4 Y
- S& Y8 C4 @9 s: ?. c) PTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
: g" Y. p' D( v( _9 Bof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different" P3 ^1 j; S9 B$ v9 v4 m. [7 y! n# a8 ~
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.

8 x" p( P2 r. C# O4 WCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
