EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association,就是我们加入的那个协会)在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。; Z3 q6 V3 ^7 s$ G% q& l; E

时间:上午9点至12点理论培训,下午1点至4点实习。

& [- p7 O( a* I4 S- x% U2 w1 WThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for$ H5 i+ m6 J% t' h/ q' I
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them., \1 t1 C' C( }9 Q' a% o, x: F
1 J5 O- ?1 k6 i1 U1 eTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials5 c4 A) j0 y9 F6 B! p1 D4 D# j
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different: S8 f2 X) S; E3 k
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
