This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
, l: m* T* s1 P1 j8 u# Cbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.; n7 ?; B7 B) ?2 q7 V0 R+ |
1 @ m) N- z# b7 W5 ?# wTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
& ~0 m3 Y8 x2 X- Eof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different' q7 S2 }6 t( V! B1 \" S" ^7 Y9 g% p
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.9 ?6 f$ V0 _# b8 L
9 I5 m2 \8 g) ]! M5 n3 R" Z! CCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
