This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for) \' t3 h0 R) B, e! D$ F6 Y8 Q7 J
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.7 b+ P) ], J* d& G1 o: q
% E& ?) h8 r" \- w f8 h2 gTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials- `4 L( S* u# V# Q- @/ p
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different- y3 X! P9 P$ J0 N m' v8 I" B
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.( }! ~. _8 }. x* t5 q6 ~
7 T) K* C. h) lCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
