* ` u9 s4 P6 k# W2 V# Y( XThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
# m: e, a" k e& H. [" k" o1 \- Ybecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.; r) h( z0 R$ J1 ]: C% G0 I; }

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
) s) A x* {& j; gof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different! Q/ H( d' i2 ]* P
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.+ o) Z9 C$ c0 _( ?) i E
