This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
; E! q! M: D2 q% e8 D% R0 ]% x5 qbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.* F. _* `- K* C Y0 x

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials( [" b. g, c" }! F
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different. V7 t' {3 t1 P- A; ?8 m( ]
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.7 y0 t2 h) A# v+ ^- j- h( P

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
