! N9 R1 l3 L, Z1 @& d. ]9 NThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
% c G9 I: K# Dbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

7 V5 V( N: f8 S6 Z% p9 ~Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials0 M) T Q4 J. x. N6 H- Z1 f2 `
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different) ?$ c) H6 b4 D$ a/ l( I& {7 n; b
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.6 M. f' O0 @- H: |5 J

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
