This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
; o( h: [1 u r2 mbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

6 }6 S. }8 ~( \7 k2 H; K& rTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials- W7 n% P6 Y! L
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different
9 }! s: x) ?$ p7 E3 O& J) J6 H+ ucertified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.6 M% }# M+ c3 i! u
