EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association，就是我们加入的那个协会）在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。

2 R& ?% ^* C3 ^! lThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for; J; V; K3 h" Z% N+ [( b2 q
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.& I3 j3 ]2 l. g9 i, k' y! O" q+ w
4 w% U0 x& N4 mTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
/ h+ y/ i) C% B( @of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different( `) [& e F4 X' F5 o9 _$ t
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.4 Z& Y4 m6 m4 H% q

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
