This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for- j" W, m5 s+ J d8 Z
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them./ L J5 O p: X7 @' h6 {
\/ Z0 B2 \1 {9 b6 w9 sTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials2 |5 A# M$ N2 m/ Z8 f `( h2 \
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different& n% Z* c8 b) `
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.
