7 n3 k3 \0 M9 e9 q! _This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
: v) V1 {; a/ ]& w: c" abecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials+ K6 s4 I3 b6 q
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different4 m3 w% I! y/ K+ Z9 I" |
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.( U* m8 z: V0 u' p

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
