EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association,就是我们加入的那个协会)在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。: X) U, }4 @/ y3 C& Q/ U" G

This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for( W; ]1 ]/ o/ i: l/ m
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.3 T9 x/ G8 t2 ~6 ~. f7 `- t

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
3 c N& z% V y% x7 }' |* V& n& Sof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different' C8 b/ E5 s8 ]+ f. a) R6 L
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.
