This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for+ \( E/ U7 {3 O+ a3 J, [
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.2 L" D: J& m9 [0 z2 `* |7 h

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
! d7 M/ X+ N' O; M3 ^of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different5 h' \/ w- S7 j5 {; l4 Z+ V
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.0 `" ]$ n5 F. U* ]! t' p. ~5 f. m

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
