This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for- `! d) [' q( z5 J0 T3 U
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

/ l H2 c" |1 b+ k3 M; C$ O oTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials, |, e# @6 ~8 Z0 M& z' V# F8 @+ p. ^
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different4 h' f0 p* c. f/ G" v1 b, @% v+ v
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.5 l. c3 J# J( E9 t* W
9 j* c! T. S2 ]$ [& F; z7 i) h/ g# FCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
