This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for0 `% p% g+ o- _. S1 a
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
1 u: X$ ]8 T- O2 r7 O' Yof Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different2 F; j. @" R% v k
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.

# h9 ?2 l- m/ }% ^" c4 WCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
