This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for! i. u7 V6 ]9 o+ N3 j- D2 y
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

2 e2 v& H5 V& c+ mTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials3 l8 T" Y7 h& I% Q3 Q
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different4 v- n6 L9 B6 Z* }
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.- O4 o" u* L! }; v4 x

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
