EDBA (Edmonton District Badminton Association,就是我们加入的那个协会)在2月23日星期六举行一个裁判的培训。* X" Z2 R: }. L& E5 E5 L- ~2 g

时间:上午9点至12点理论培训,下午1点至4点实习。* S& H% q n; J8 L- A. f2 g

' Y. w* Q5 B, AThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
2 X- |* h. q( A. S, I% Zbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them." F. g: V# L% I) ]6 w2 ]# y% K( ?

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials* a+ [1 i, }6 X# ~
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different3 w$ _, C- \- [! c2 `8 O
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
