This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
7 ^; o4 V# D- M$ Z& c% fbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.8 T* B7 z' A. B3 E& T8 Y- E

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials7 g+ `0 h% `# E. k
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different' e) j9 A1 }; S* q, @* h4 i; f( i: M
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.
