4 z2 w* S$ |% l# J* uThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for' N+ _6 r$ p; R. W9 T% M- N. x
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.6 ^6 _ \" C' P9 C
' r ~! R7 v4 g7 y: Q0 O& L* MTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials+ C4 }3 ^5 J8 S" q
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different- R; i; R4 A2 J+ Q7 a {
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.4 U) F6 w; i c2 p- R7 ^/ n9 |$ {: E
