This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
1 L* l1 c, E2 Ebecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

; ?3 j! ?/ C9 e! E' S/ u( VTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials
1 u" g! c* ]' _& x+ A5 h3 ?of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different, f5 c: _: t8 Q) z
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.- Q- ~/ u* H+ X2 x. V8 G

Certified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
