This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
g. m+ O" e# g3 T \8 W7 ebecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.! e" S0 R3 a9 r2 l* g' k
' ]$ m v: U" E8 A4 ATrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials. e' c3 |! e9 a
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different
' Y+ s6 k# b0 hcertified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.
