This is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for
2 P6 U- V8 m9 ^& y9 dbecoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.- I* Y) U( E9 {6 ]
2 S. Y8 E- s c3 }4 F- QTrainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials7 `3 w" H# U; `, H
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different! n7 d+ j% U C# U% {
certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.
