there are a few kinds of BH that help cars start from extreme cold weather,$ ?1 W% R X" c$ U. A
basically , BH keep the car warm by heating up the oil pan-which keeps the engine oil from frozen, or by heating up the coolant/radiator, and keep the engine block warm.& w: L- z! D/ X7 K, }8 N1 E) t
Either way, the engine shall not be frozen with use of BH.$ U4 ]' [3 @4 t3 y1 y4 A

If you do not have BH on ur car, by using synthetic oil you can also prevent oil frozen from happening.
- X$ a3 p1 i$ R2 c: Z# K' RA good synthetic oil, 5w20 or 5w 30 , or 3w 20 have a pure point of -30 to -40 degrees.
