Position Overview: Under minimal supervision, work as a technologist in a startup biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) in Edmonton. Responsible for the execution of experiments in a laboratory using well-established techniques. Other duties include routine lab maintenance and assist with ordering.

Extensive experience in mammalian cell culture is required, in particular high-throughput or large-scale environment.

  P" [/ [3 E' B7 t% DPractical knowledge of common molecular biology techniques is desirable, particularly in PCR, plasmid construction, DNA sequence analysis and western blotting.

2 P# ]6 z# _2 T! [1 G" X9 VHave good record keeping habits and abilities, suitable to maintain accurate and complete records.

0 E( b- Q4 h7 `* Q, s9 e/ ?Ability to precisely follow written and verbal directions.

Bachelor or Master degree in cell biology, biochemistry or other related areas.
