strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
+ Y9 c2 X0 a8 }) T  Qobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
" r1 B; X  v7 |from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
! }- l, S& B/ R* o/ N3 b7 ?& Irequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
8 S4 \7 m) W+ e+ q; q9 Lcloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
& L" D- H. k- {7 n2 Z8 Uover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
0 f7 T0 h! r, e4 l4 n1 zis a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
/ t! b- i0 M' `+ V- t( X' O) B6 t) Ethe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
% `7 p' K2 w4 q$ q- s6 I: t+ [accurate and complete research records.

funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
