ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our

4 i7 H3 B5 ]4 r7 x- U# p/ j' Dstrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
to apply for government funding with us.

7 I4 U; W2 J1 l. g3 }7 JQualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
; w3 S+ v  g, ~8 B  jfrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
# c$ C6 c+ g" {cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
! y% m/ x9 T( _the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
; d6 x! H9 j& V" T2 n8 zaccurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external

9 i% `9 a" M& T9 w+ i$ _salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
