University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of

strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness

, W; U* W0 A# I7 i* i' TQualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
# Q: h& ?; H" N/ i$ l5 W) nobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
/ I% \, z1 E1 T+ k! orelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
% X5 I3 g( H' Y  rfrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
. h0 Z" }0 u8 Y$ d- |cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
! ^; V1 C* i+ U$ \over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
% |2 {2 P. }0 R: Eis a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
9 d) M0 {# D0 G9 S4 K* uthe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
) e; F5 |. K" E. m0 Y/ |, Kaccurate and complete research records.

salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
