烤蛋糕

INGREDIENTS:

•        1 cup sugar
# S7 x* [1 G% j! b0 P! Y* S•        1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract( if you like the flavor)4 [# \8 U& @. p. B
•        1 1/2 cups sifted  flour ( if you don’t like the trouble, use all-purpose flour)
7 s* V2 {& S. B•        1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
7 H2 M' [- r5 g/ [4 t3 ]1 e•        4 eggs, well beaten+ F* Z8 {* J$ ], J1 }6 F% E, P' n
PREPARATION:1 O; m0 i' r4 Q0 W% P
Beat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition.
: @! I& D( |$ Z/ n8 |/ L2 @" GTurn into greased and floured 8-inch tube pan or 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
6 w9 L4 c) @. _0 k4 {# _7 p* [Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.

I normally strictly follow the amount for each ingredient the recipe calls for, except SUGAR( I prefer to cut it to ¾ or 2/3 of the recipe. It is too sweet for some Chinese. But if you like the sweetness of the Cake Mix you got from super market, you can follow the recipe.) H" `  U: t! |; w4 s2 b( D

2 {# H( X' Y* JFor beating, you can buy a simple Hand Mixer for about $10. It can not only be used for making cakes but also bread, or mashed potatoes(土豆泥)ect.

检查蛋糕是否熟透的办法

牙签,插入蛋糕较厚处,取出,若没粘着什么sticky flour, 就好了。

你若喜欢烤面食的话,一定要有一套量器的。所有recipes 都是用cup, table spoon, tea spoon 做基本单位的。用量不一样,效果绝对不同。
