The Transportation Department is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join its team as an Engineering Technologist I with the Street Lighting Section. Primary functions of this position will include:. U, ]% J, j) x; i \: c* q U8 d

· Assist in the condition assessment analysis and preparation of the annual street light capital program and street light rehabilitation and maintenance programs.

: A" @6 I& t7 ]0 d9 a! S- `· Street light programs include street light group relamping, critical poles, fallen poles, system damage reports (SDR), alley lighting requests, conceptual estimates for in-house capital programs and Streets Engineering capital programs.

, ?/ t( q" c5 g% j· Recording accurately and maintaining street light and trolley graphical and non graphical data information in accordance with applicable procedures and practices using GeoMedia software.

+ l9 E3 `7 H# `6 d. H$ y4 @· Performing inspection services related to street light and signal SDR’s ensuring compliance to the City of Edmonton Road and Walkway Lighting Manual.

7 Q4 u, e' L3 f7 a" Q· Two (2) year Diploma in Electrical, Civil, Material and/or in equivalent Engineering Technology program with a minimum two years experience in traffic operations, street lighting, traffic signal control, roadway construction and/or utility engineering.2 p* D' c) `% s6 H1 U1 K$ T i

Job Level: 21M, Salary Grade: 019, $26.00 - $32.68 (Hourly), $1,754.73 - $2,205.63 (Bi-Weekly), $45,798.45 - $57,566.94 (Annually). 2 r8 C4 ` b4 `* |# h7 `1 [
; J5 m U7 w0 j2 r* oOpportunity Concept Level: 21A, Salary Grade: 014, $19.86 – $23.85 (Hourly), $1340.82 - 1609.67 (Bi-Weekly), $34,995.40 - $42,012.45 (Annually).
