FUNCTIONS:

As an Assessor Assistant, with Business Assessment, you will perform independent technical fieldwork involving sales validation and the inspection of properties, gathering of data and other tasks related to the assessment function.  Responsibilities will include:

& B" m7 A8 C  x- p- @, K4 t·         Inspecting, measuring and recording specific data and attributes respecting all real property and business premises, as well as recording all relevant information.

$ w0 ]% ~3 r. L. |, g: N4 k·         Entering and collecting data using a wireless remote data collection device.0 w. _* [4 e4 v# v

·         Updating data on computer, including complex and/or unusual properties./ I$ n3 ?  n( h8 f% t

·         Preparing and maintaining comprehensive field records for sketches, diagrams and other relevant data.% r! z% [( R( t0 H% P

·         Completion of the 1st year of the UBC Certificate Program in Real Property Assessment, one course of which must be Building Construction, or Completion of the Appraisal and Assessment Diploma from Lakeland College.- [! i2 ^2 P+ o* S5 R

·         Working knowledge of standard desktop applications and Apex sketching software./ g, I7 y  B! b: k

·         Valid Alberta Driver’s License.

HOURS OF WORK: 33.75  hours per week, Monday – Friday. Hours of work may be subject to the terms and conditions of a variable hours of work program.% e3 |2 c2 V  u; s0 I5 n: w3 i

SALARY RANGE: 21M, Salary Grade: 015, $21.86 - $27.34 (Hourly), $1,475.41 - $1,845.11 (Bi-Weekly), $38,508.33 - $48,157.44 (Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.
