As the Corporate Financial Co-ordinator within the Corporate Accounting and Reporting office of the Finance Branch, you will lead the year-end reporting functions within the City as well as the operating fund corporate accounting, and guide the development of related policy, procedures, and strategies. This includes:

# d4 `# Z) s2 } ]· Coordinating the completion of the annual consolidated financial statements, the Provincial municipal information return, and other financial reporting for audit.

· Providing advice within the organization and to related Boards and Authorities on options for resolution of financial and reporting issues.+ V. K! P) p$ r# I8 n4 V: b

· Research and coordination for implementation of new professional accounting and reporting requirements for municipalities.

5 T( z- ?% P9 \· Administration of the financial accounting module of the financial information system.

* d) C; T6 {% `. {· Managing a group of professional and administrative staff, in completing ongoing corporate accounting functions.

· University Degree majoring in accounting or finance, and a Professional Accounting Designation.

2 t2 R9 X8 L, b5 Z* P) J8 B· A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in the financial accounting and reporting field.0 i. `7 s" u6 F

· Experience with complex computerized financial systems. Familiarity with SAP would be advantageous.0 Q: O! h. }; X9 _
+ ^2 }/ | g+ h) U5 Q, ^· Experience in preparing complex, consolidated financial statements for audit.

8 T% @8 Z) r: Q· Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
