6 \) q+ M2 c% I2 y9 t gPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment, Immigration & Industry, the community development worker coordinates workshops seminars and activities. - community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
" t, I, o4 ^9 W3 R' _- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
# T) w' ?. ^1 ?, `9 X5 w- V) g- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services

$ Z1 r( I) k$ B- coordinate and send out quarterly newsletter to members

- assist in writing proposal for ISP9 C2 ]" H8 l7 u/ b3 b9 I, l
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
+ u* ]& U8 f" h$ J; V* W- \- explore new ideas for ISP

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

. h3 M7 x$ Y- A& J- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education ' r3 v( H6 j8 x& m/ a
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills/ _( ^5 y/ t( ^) U# X1 N# x& S
- experience in community work and immigrant services" F w8 {- ` j/ e0 i1 J
- ability to coordinate workshops and seminars3 ~# W# V" b/ [7 n
- leadership skills
