• is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals

• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
) }4 g7 _) b; V/ K/ \. _+ k• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders' _( n& u6 V( j5 B9 D2 a5 ~
• set program priorities and directions

/ U3 r X+ q, \3 I) C V• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
& s/ L! a5 ~1 p) B' S• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders

( E- c5 {; Q$ L% x6 s" b1 M• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
m* \' J2 N T• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups& S2 I; e2 {: W3 T+ Y
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.+ N+ ~* y& r; E0 B1 n; j
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff! e' z7 Y8 f; N3 o8 p6 ?

Qualifications
4 T4 v8 a3 P( n6 Q1 F1 |- i% Q- University degree in a related field; ! f; Z3 S' F- Q: v6 W4 H' f
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;! A$ n+ L+ p9 Z- i4 c
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
2 u6 Y- z! k1 D7 i- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization . f3 ^$ m; R# ~7 T L; @4 D' Q% m
) d6 j7 r6 C3 G* g' Y* o

- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits * D; ]" W. R7 T* \# [1 n
