Programs/Services

; U7 ]8 n! r; i1 P# j% j3 I• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders# r, S, H; n$ ~
• set program priorities and directions

O- p+ [* h( @8 B• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends6 X; l2 w2 S# x3 Q! E
• conduct program evaluation/survey/research

• delivery of program or activity to participants as required

External Relations
) \8 O0 c ~8 R8 E• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
1 e" d8 v, I) W* p) w; R• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders5 ]7 T: E6 `/ f8 M& a6 Z# r
• communicate the value of the organization to the public" P/ _& I4 z6 J" G, V7 C" f
• identify community needs and trends
4 o% t: P4 |8 }• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
9 b2 v' t' n( {# A( |4 l9 e• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
( r6 ?, w* x, Y1 X; A• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

- c$ T1 r6 Y; t2 ~# G& x) K- University degree in a related field;
- W' Q2 \) u9 ]8 b5 f! v& l" `8 e! U- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
- y1 @; r) W- | H# M8 |: k- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
% l& N. c! j- j6 h1 \8 \- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization ) p1 K _5 A# c1 ?" j+ A) V# h$ D
