• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services

• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities4 L+ ?" g" R9 y! R' V
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
! C; U3 ]# X/ }* ?' n; v2 x1 e• communicate the value of the organization to the public7 o: v1 `! f( D+ w7 c/ q* C
• identify community needs and trends; S% \: `+ V8 `
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
# h& G. ?" H, z$ g' f7 U- _4 x• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups) Y* Y _" T$ `5 V4 b2 W( R
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems." _9 s7 K3 n9 q, E+ u3 t( f
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

- University degree in a related field;
" W7 t9 L$ G3 w* u- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
. w6 f+ x1 f8 F8 e' n0 W' h7 v& I& F! k- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
- p8 _8 R. v$ }5 v) |$ G. ~) `! g- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization ! ^# F# O8 ?; S j
% k- q/ E5 b% d# W oSalary
0 @% ]5 c4 L0 S, z+ g- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits ; z) e$ G; J, Q8 h/ Z6 L2 m( U) Z: Z" e
