Key Responsibilities) H- L& P* r$ I. M& b9 R1 B3 a, [
- submit information for community news
2 w2 L6 C0 z1 E& p! S9 {- provide volunteers to update membership database
, |6 ?: d% I0 a" n/ q- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers: z" {# z& `9 x2 p( ^" G
- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties$ g) D& Y# N* Y
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties a O5 z6 Q R' x2 J; v# a
- provide volunteers for various programs : u- D4 J9 F0 E" J$ g
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual2 Z" f& F1 Q) L
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation- c# _7 u$ Y0 `) S$ _7 P
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities) j O7 {7 ~" A: n5 A( y
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services' ?2 \- ~* \- G! Y
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
3 D" x3 p) e. h7 B; |- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed6 c: C4 x+ x& r9 N7 Y. n' G
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
v" @2 T, m/ H; G! Z r- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
3 p. M- a& d0 b+ _- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events ! p" ^4 r; K8 Y; {6 W; H
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
6 R' T6 t1 Z, `* Z0 L) F1 [, g* H e' }- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers
! T. l+ _; b( G2 i+ i1 i- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers - G+ X! T* H/ y; B+ j7 v" }
- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis + @& r) L6 A- { P6 P# h
- evaluations # s: A9 q) k' u; i5 U
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

Qualifications. x( e1 b# k# E0 W: N; @) K" z
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
% @4 B/ p8 a' M4 x/ [5 w- good oral and written Chinese and English skills! n4 P4 ]- `8 y3 N
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services: Q: h) s6 }6 t
- leadership skills. a$ `& Z# l# t4 ]& W
- management and supervision skills
