and most of the newly admitted students who applied for housing were
& p, c3 o6 P8 m) W& yasked to look for a residence on open market.

exactly for the same amount of money that we were offered in our
7 I: K j' `- Q$ j7 fadmission letter (18000 CAD + 1500 CAD for international students
; B0 e1 F1 o6 f0 @=19500CAD. What I get is something around 1000CAD/month!!! after 3 x) A" i5 t9 D6 B% i( H5 ?3 L1 {
tuition fee and taxes). To make the argument easy to understand just 3 O }* l. q& A! d: i. L$ a
imagine that a new student gets the same amount of money that I am
* x% U B \1 T, ^& sgetting now and I was getting 3 years ago but he or she (like all of
$ o/ p0 m/ a+ y+ s0 r- lus) has to pay twice as much as I was paying for housing when I was # Q& X/ R+ g4 W+ d: R! L& @% o
admitted and has to incur at least 70% more in average living costs.

Also have in mind that Alberta is a rich province and University of

initiative in raising the issue of increasing financial aid for
! C/ z' U9 }6 Z) o, D) }" bgraduate students so that the can afford this increase in costs?
