A vigil was held Wednesday night in a downtown city park, the site of Edmonton's latest homicide.

Edward Bone, 20, was stabbed at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning in Beaver Hills House Park at 105 Street and Jasper Avenue.

Bone struggled as he went from home to home in the foster care system after his mother was stabbed to death by her husband when he was only eight years old.

& Q( b) K& f" _# {1 J- ]. @But last month, he graduated from the Boyle Street Education Centre.

: `& b1 x; R1 I, @  w+ F# E& Q6 }Cliff Whitford, a counsellor at the school, said Bone was a good person.

9 I4 `) n% }) v( x( }"As much as he struggled in his life he did his best to make his day what he wanted it to become. And when it comes to his life and the road he walked, he did a pretty darn good job."

Bone's death marks Edmonton's 19th homicide this year. Police are still looking for a suspect.
