说得有道理. 相对来说, 慢火"炖"房子比"炒"要滋味得多, 也不容易烧糊.

Long-timers sell their houses to new comers at full profit. If you think those long-timers are stupid, then think again. Many of them have more than 40 years of experience here.

New immmigrants work hard for theirs houses for the rest of the life, the locals easily make 100% profit from their homes in a couple of years. Who are smarter?

This situation is not limited to new immigrant only. Because I am new here and know many new immigrant just like us.

3 M6 P5 e3 K7 X* zI also know many local people who come and go, jumping frequently for so many NICE reasons just to cover their inability to perform well. There are also many local who join the team for less, perform well, get higher on the social ladder step by step.

/ |% @! U3 Z1 \9 R! T我两场都买了50/50的ticket，当然两场都没有中，奖金大概都在20K以上。
有一个两个月前从多伦多来埃蒙顿的洋人同事说：我们那里的50/50一般也就5K的奖金，你们这里的人还真舍得花钱。——（也不知道是不是真的。）

Sharing a story cannot be considered un-humble because from every angle you look at 紫光's post, it's a TYPICAL money management quandary an Edmonton family is experiencing. Focus not on ego, but on what you can learn from others. Many people is focusing on proving that he or she be right. When he/she sees different opinion, he is fighting to win an ego's game.

这是房产的买卖情况，这个数据非常有意思，注意房价增长缓慢的那几年，每年只比上年多卖几百到1千套。2001年甚至还少卖了，而疯涨的2006也只多卖了3300套，这就是为什么我认为房产市场只需要1%的人推动，其他99% 的人只是坐享其成；这也是为什么北京、上海的房价你怎么调控它还是涨，因为基于中国的人口比例，连1%的人都不需要就可以推动。

$11/小时，那时候觉得EDMONTON的房子真便宜。不过好像那时候也有人看跌。
