说得有道理. 相对来说, 慢火"炖"房子比"炒"要滋味得多, 也不容易烧糊.

This situation is not limited to new immigrant only. Because I am new here and know many new immigrant just like us.

3 P$ l  X- y- ]$ \2 u: C/ m* qI also know many local people who come and go, jumping frequently for so many NICE reasons just to cover their inability to perform well. There are also many local who join the team for less, perform well, get higher on the social ladder step by step.

US and CANADA are countries built up by immigrants, generations of them. About 300,000 per year into Canada now.

这个周末去现场看了一场美式足球和一场冰球，因为是公司提供的球票，所以免不了遇到同事、朋友。
7 P' h/ n) V& f9 B我两场都买了50/50的ticket，当然两场都没有中，奖金大概都在20K以上。
( X# A7 t  Y1 ]% S  y有一个两个月前从多伦多来埃蒙顿的洋人同事说：我们那里的50/50一般也就5K的奖金，你们这里的人还真舍得花钱。——（也不知道是不是真的。）
  c: W* F" r& m: |! s: ~' F4 L我说，你没有看到高的，这场球也就是个PRE-SEASON，要是到了PLAY-OFF，你要中一个，第二天可以直接开个BMW去上班了。

There is a difference. People moving here are immigrants and people born here are not, no matter where their ancestors came from. We could delete the term "immigrant", if we don't make such a distinction.

$11/小时，那时候觉得EDMONTON的房子真便宜。不过好像那时候也有人看跌。
