The house prices are ridiculously high now, they will drop in 1-5 years for sure. It is too risky to buy a house now, you may end losing a lot of money. Now those construction workers make tons of money, if you buy a house, you are donating money to them. If you have too much money, you can do that, if not, you need to think about it carefully. \' c* Q# H4 W$ X

Renting is a much better option for you, it is cheaper. Try to save money now and wait for a couple of years, if prices drop significantly, then you can buy. Otherwise you may want to move other cities.

Especially if your husband lose his job and you have to pay $2400 for your house monthly, you will be under tremendous pressure.

There is no difference in terms of life quality between renting a house or owning a house. A house is just a place for you to live no matter you own it or rent it. The benefit to own a house is you can build equity from it. After 100% price increase in the recent years, I don't expect to get 10% increase annualy.
