Non-destructive testers and inspectors operate radiographic, ultrasonic, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, eddy current and similar testing equipment to detect discontinuities in objects of various compositions and materials. They are employed by quality control, maintenance and safety departments of manufacturing, processing, transportation, energy and other companies and by private industrial inspection establishments.( I# R$ ~7 }! Main duties

Non-destructive testers and inspectors perform some or all of the following duties:
X$ }& @4 L: DSet up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment
" E% o) r7 u) [( sConduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using ultrasonic, radiographic, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, eddy current and other non-destructive testing methods
5 n( r4 R/ J+ ?# D% _) j. {+ oEstablish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations3 B; x: Q8 k4 X2 _( O0 @
Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
& B; i: ^$ e: F* z! ~- p7 G/ \Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
' _9 t; Y; u4 P3 j) `) r2 f5 eOrganize and report test results
! J$ a$ u- f7 n) Z- ]% i% j3 b% WMay perform specialized inspections using acoustic emission, vibration analysis, infrared thermography and laser shearography testing methods5 X& R) Z) q' [9 R- t2 D
May instruct and supervise trainees.

Additional classroom and on-the-job training is required for certification in non-destructive testing.
8 g8 [" U8 f8 _/ B5 F6 aNon-destructive testing certification by Natural Resources Canada is available in three levels and is usually required by employers.
! m$ F0 _: J" @) P3 EIndustrial radiographers using a radioactive isotope must pass an examination to be recognized as a certified exposure device operator by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission.% X5 @ q! U2 N1 @, g# W* b5 B4 v1 E
Welding inspector certification by the Canadian Welding Bureau is available in three levels and may be required by employers.
! s9 y" w/ p" L' x! dBoiler and pressure vessel, process pipeline and above-ground storage tank inspector certification is available from the American Petroleum Institute.

你好!我是一位在国内从事探伤工作已15个年头的无损检测技师,近期国内有招聘探伤技术人员赋加拿大工作的消息,我可能作为第一批人员赋CANADA,现在还没签订合同!所以现在特别想知道CANADA的探伤工作情况及待遇.. \5 o1 t3 c$ G% M1 Q
有必要在国内拿个国际(欧洲)探伤资格证吗?是不是一定要在加拿大本国取证才有效吗?还有就是中国劳动保障部颁发的技师职业资格证,在CANADA能承认吗?谢谢有空的话回一个哦.
