; P8 o# M: f: F$ YCanada’s first comprehensive Digital Economy Strategy, we need to look
! ^; X. q! B N5 l$ M; Jcarefully at how issues like UBB affect the big picture. We will be
2 `, O8 n7 e3 j( v/ B Rguided by our long-standing policies of encouraging competition and
6 i' @& c, T- h2 C" ?( J6 _0 jinvestment, increasing consumer choice, minimizing regulation and allowing

+ b" F) R3 J% J# r% `4 N" YThe Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has& S2 _; Q0 q4 I( |2 V( e
chosen to examine these concerns that the government shares with a large( p; _' P& \3 H2 G! _9 t

government will carefully assess the CRTC position to ensure that it is in

competition among internet service providers. I will be recommending that
