Wow. In edmonton, if we're talking about academics, then it is definitely going to be in the following order8 F3 ~' ]2 A2 l0 h; S6 \

Strathcona is more known for being a "jock" school - in other words, very athletic. It was also more populated with caucasians... I don't know if that's changed in the last 4/5 years... maybe there are more asians there now? Don't know. . }. T1 _& l1 M8 A0 ]( b. b
x6 b$ a5 E$ ~' i/ D4 LAnyways, besides Strathcona being well known for sports, I have never really heard of it being well known for other attributes... Yes there is an AP program, but as far as I know, IB (as offered by Harry Ainlay) is still more renowned. Also... Harry Ainlay has a french immersion program. :)

Vic Comp used to be attractive for "artsy students", but now, the new Lillian Osbourne has taken its ranks for being an artsy school...

Otherwise, I still consider Old Scona and Harry Ainlay some of the better schools around in terms of academics :); Z8 l8 T. e+ K& D3 p
& x& ?2 p9 H" D# X- ^Like I said, I graduated from high school a few years ago, maybe rankings have changed. But when I was in high school, this is what the schools I previously named above were well-known for. Hope this helped! |
