1 _4 M1 t" M: Q# OBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
& q6 {9 Y; M, R/ D1 F( a v+ }* Awork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft3 D" D8 c3 k* @; `2 N5 }
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
; B( r; d9 z5 l7 K1 E0 G: k( a9 _Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the& d7 ^2 y1 I( e$ {4 h1 W
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
5 i1 ^! [8 }" u5 D9 X: rEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for; L! Z8 Q6 P/ J
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the
: d3 P3 D' Q8 A( B$ n% _recyclables.+ }8 K$ H& B4 O4 F' q2 z+ h; o
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
" E) F/ f) W: ppart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.) W' S6 b: y" s9 B% a7 @% u1 l, j: d
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing( F, H( y! O5 W0 `- T* C/ `
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
6 m6 B) V& ]1 q+ Shours are part of this crew’s duties.
$ o" O; o0 H8 o- W) Z: }Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the; _" Z% V# j: C
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
1 l" U v9 l xprograms to visitors to the festival.
! G% c$ [1 N# l! g9 _3 uKids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
; I2 T5 C/ ]; }( N% meveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.$ D# x' O# A- n0 a# a
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed( t2 X& H; i" D. G! f. G
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the( L/ z; F' d }. H) y1 u6 T
festival.3 R1 B/ g! v0 s v
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is4 P8 Z `2 O' R( q/ _
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
0 r7 E5 N* Z% Q& D W4 I4 |are physically fit and ready for any emergency.5 t$ _ S3 Z Z8 }( p2 i( r6 o- e- _) I
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
9 W6 a+ v: n: ?! Vand/or understanding of back stage procedures.
- j) B% h" z. NTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be3 E+ L" g% _, `. E; c1 S
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as" `% k0 O0 w0 r
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
- j2 Y2 x2 C5 m" Q: I$ Istaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
