8 K$ V/ {$ V2 z: p" D5 r$ ~Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and0 V/ `& V Z3 E$ R/ Z
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
" { d( F5 F( v |7 j: I% ]prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
, j8 }% ]* w8 i; aChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
1 x: r- ?$ v, X9 ^% j# t! r# oartist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.6 P' t" p; P5 o
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for! t; t* v1 q3 ]" x& K# _( y/ `2 C; D6 \
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the. O2 o' h/ G& i+ N& B E9 _6 ^
recyclables.
9 C. l) W0 m: sFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be; x* \2 a+ w+ ` A
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
* ]% A7 L) a |( w2 c* g) @Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing* l5 E* n; A. l
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late- A6 e, p$ f7 I' _3 a8 O( F Y$ O. j2 L! `
hours are part of this crew’s duties.
3 t* Q8 T: Z- l9 JInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the- X2 k9 [9 n; a! H9 B8 Y: T
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
/ q2 r, e2 R) o5 _6 ]& u* x& G& b6 v) Mprograms to visitors to the festival.- U; l( i; e2 ~/ P0 [
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for) ^$ j4 Z4 ?/ `7 V4 [
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
( k" H: s6 d: @- o4 R5 p* X& e5 pOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed3 k& u4 @8 l0 P
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
; e- Z! h3 z. J2 i( g' ~festival.
( J$ p3 I3 m# p8 c9 i5 k2 r$ C' V. eSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
3 b3 {" K# j& W- \2 xoperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
: b6 M' R, A ^are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
7 o% }. G9 d& [Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training6 O- {' g) R$ |4 j! q1 z: M. D
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
, s( _5 J$ Y/ I" CTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
3 K9 U. J& ?) crequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as( }3 u) L" y" u+ y
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival8 [4 o& c# B" n
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
