2 Y- k# a' F4 S* ^Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
) z0 h I' F: i6 w, c! B9 |work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft: X) Y% n( t5 e" G
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.. W! C2 i2 f- H% C, Y
Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
2 N( G7 L- k7 U6 C& U- Fartist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.2 s4 J4 A! e% @3 S. {% a
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
. f" M! I2 R7 }1 [3 ]/ U5 uvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the4 T' Y6 ~6 G8 @( x* J" I
recyclables.
% F2 B% U; c( x9 }$ nFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be# H% m* m; S, U8 K
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.3 a* h& O+ q+ w+ I7 A% O
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing6 e+ y; l$ F: u% Q( t& m$ y8 r3 Y
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late- J% R) S7 x/ F/ b, _
hours are part of this crew’s duties.; N2 J& H3 e0 C- n
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
$ E+ F. d% b }: ^' |3 W& Tfestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide0 H4 h$ }6 y; H$ O1 j% `; E1 v
programs to visitors to the festival.6 ^8 |' }7 h! l
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for% H# v8 p( r5 p/ S: M' l
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.9 l! ~4 o6 a$ o
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed( ? m. S- x6 B$ L- Q. b3 ^3 C
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
& @( N0 {. d: p+ L6 ffestival.( F6 k6 J6 V' G5 Y2 t
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is8 [3 R+ k* P' i$ T; A- v' ?
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you" Q* {: ^! R* X) M6 i/ k, k/ a
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.1 g) ~8 r! a' E% }
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training2 ~" N7 k( c5 \/ H7 ?+ O% J8 G* Z
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.5 f5 @. q0 P* _: z" O4 y
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be( y6 ^+ X2 }1 m
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as3 E. a2 B g: Q" i2 r
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival+ ~* s0 C8 E' S3 ?3 R. Q
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
