! x$ {+ _# ^! DBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
4 Q0 F# G. z0 O2 Rwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft. C. }. B! b' N: I7 S! `
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
4 p! |& c( c. Y' d1 m; O/ q3 A) xChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
K5 [9 W Q6 i- J5 Uartist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
8 O; p+ _8 J F9 p: BEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
/ K+ X' V5 m# A5 F1 w' fvisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the- j! o6 M- g+ m( a* _
recyclables.
3 ]7 M: H; b5 ^2 [6 kFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be+ T6 p/ H! D( F) k* m ]
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
9 B2 m6 Z# J# j( LHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
0 s7 R( C7 p2 {' q9 n' Hthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
/ O& L# W6 T, }: ehours are part of this crew’s duties.
) v4 ]+ D" _: C$ {& M0 JInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the
0 j8 E4 I. Q9 v9 a3 V3 W' ffestival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
& ~% I. p! g$ m& eprograms to visitors to the festival.
9 m7 j3 V6 e9 {9 pKids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for: y4 v. P$ \2 m! B" J' ^
everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience./ }& N; p5 z5 @* {5 D# r l: M/ \
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
1 A$ _$ P2 _' A* Oevents and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the0 a. d; K% H& s# S% [, W0 }' Y, [# \" v
festival.
1 w4 m2 ^6 n7 @) ZSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
. ~$ O$ Y9 A0 R1 d' h. a: poperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you8 o0 m$ `, {% [6 Q
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
4 J( Y9 v" ~7 Y- QStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training5 o& w7 t. a/ t* T+ m. a
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.( O- q% o' F) F4 d
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
" W9 b8 R: s8 m w$ srequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
" y. s5 p4 g* D" B7 E& A9 e" \ {airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
' n* m1 X! ~4 D n% }6 o# ^staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
