2000. The Chief Returning Officer shall be recommended to Students'

year following their appointment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- E; y) I: a- Q y

4) To organize polls during elections/referenda, including appointing + s2 a `% t$ D$ }! o c5 j. D
adequate poll staff and situating polls at appropriate locations

referenda.

6) To report the result of an election/referendum to the appropriate 6 N" A9 n5 W+ c) \; l
parties.

10) To be available to all parties during elections/referenda for a 3 m* f w9 x- V: B& s
minimum of four (4) working hours a day, between Monday to Friday,

11) To act as the arbitrator in any dispute which may arise during

12) To ensure that a cost effective and accurate ballot counting , V; h5 a! ~, A2 Q
process is in place.

13) To submit to Students' Council, prior to April 30, a final report 9 n$ `; ^( \1 E) b: E
of activities and recommendations.

14) To organize a minimum of one (1) forum to be held during the week

1) Must be an undergrad student registered in at least one (1) course
* \- z) c4 ~' i4 K! J- g" \/ k( Pfor each of the terms of Winter Session and shall be a full Students'
( Y4 o, B: v# I( c+ \2 i( w/ AUnion member.
6 D, Z* s7 u; {% g% b+ s0 ]2 s0 S$ e( d
2) Must have some experience in student elections.( x; ~4 @, K5 V U) j* M. w
! n) Z& ?$ l8 ~0 n3) Shall not concurrently hold a position on Students' Council, or
! U3 |* i8 U( @any of its standing boards, committees, or any other paid position t6 J4 u" D- b; |

4) Willingness and ability to work varying hours.
