1.        Serve as a key business and licensing role within a cross-functional team for identification, evaluation and licensing of strategically important technologies.  
2.        Manage technology alliance activities, including the coordination of appropriate agreements’ execution, alliance negotiations, and post-deal compliance in China.  
3.        Develop business plan and strategy to integrate new technology into existing global research and business platforms.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES:

1.        MBA and/or advanced scientific degree in agricultural biotechnology related fields (such as plant molecular, cellular and developmental biology, genomics, and plant genetics, bioinformatics, etc.) are highly desirable.  
9 _# n3 }5 |+ _( o2 {* U2.        Proven experience in technology identification and licensing within China, or equivalent experience with biotechnology research and commercial licensing agreements is preferred.
7 e" t/ {  \  _: g8 T' K3.        Working knowledge of Intellectual Property policies, including Chinese and international patent regulations and procedures would be advantageous.  
7 B7 B& b6 z( v; S! M0 _3 X" [/ [4.        Productive business and scientific interactions and good relationships with major biotechnology institutes in China would be advantageous.
5.        Able to work independently as well as cooperatively in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment.  
# Q% S& c+ I7 k- H6.        Strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and Chinese.
) }3 l- K' c* B6 y) }2 r+ F1 @7.        Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation and problem solving skills.
8.        Able to travel frequently within and outside of China.
