ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. The CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans.9 {$ u8 C1 _) T8 `7 Q1 q9 B: j

Education Background: Health Promotion, Sociology, or related Social/Human Sciences field.

1. Full-time college or university student, under 30 years of age before and after the position and not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement.
+ R& A4 m& z8 {, e2 c7 D6 a4 ^2. Legally entitled to work according to relevant federal and provincial legislation and regulations.
* x# Q8 A% ^# f3 p- k& t3. Good organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
3 y) p2 d4 J0 f0 H& m7 e4. Team player and also able to work independently. Able to deal proactively with change and achieve goals through coordination with other people.
