ACTION FOR HEALTHY COMMUNITIES (AHC) is recruiting students (preferably members of a visible minority community and/or of a Disability community) for the following summer position: Community Initiatives Documenter. We are a non-profit community development organization operating in central Edmonton. We promote community inclusion as a strategy for increasing citizenship participation and action.

Community Initiatives Documenter
The CI Documenter will contact and meet leaders of 30 Community Initiatives (mini-projects) to discuss and document their progress to date, facilitate a planning process for each CI to sustain their outcomes, and create a final document analyzing CI trends, strengths, learnings and plans.

7 ^. A; f& @$ H" Z/ \+ C2 M* V1.        Full-time college or university student, under 30 years of age before and after the position and not attending full-time classes while participating in their placement.
: i& A, j$ E8 a, V, y. D0 T4 k2.        Legally entitled to work according to relevant federal and provincial legislation and regulations.
' a8 G7 ~% k4 s; ?3.        Good organizational and verbal and written communication skills.
* h2 K+ U" w/ X7 n8 Y- L4.        Team player and also able to work independently. Able to deal proactively with change and achieve goals through coordination with other people.
