22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday  & F. k/ Z$ M; C* i3 i
through Friday

+ Y4 B6 u3 n* G8 g; H  k- VJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
! G* ]7 ]* x- J6 k- F( W( ^Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  3 Q! V' s( d: s8 w& N& S, }" y
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
/ x- ?2 r3 \' |% W' r- a  f8 ]8 Kcleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
( C# j; _1 `0 ?! L( u' M1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
5 @) w3 c6 H% w8 N6 U  j; L; b8 Mbeverage items.4 r* i9 X- k2 E

. X$ E& |4 z0 y" o2 f. o2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  . }" ^1 ~) y/ f4 o( B: c4 N; Q% t
bar and debit floats.4 ~* m. F! T2 D- w' v& ^" P
% g# A" _4 b7 f( v
3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
/ b7 ]# [! J6 I; |: neach shift, and upon closing.) l3 v5 g0 }& r
. e6 \4 U; v$ [: O2 \6 _! e3 u
4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  2 K& C+ r% f# i1 X  _  S! }  h+ |
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
9 ^) t$ p4 T! g& B4 G& Rseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.
& f' q1 A; c% Y9 p( \4 p* x" @, d" I$ i0 y+ q+ u
5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  + ^# u% m5 L" {( ]8 w- K# }
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  6 p. ~: u+ \/ m" P; f# R
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.
; {4 l& M. q$ z1 W& A8 y& a2 w9 D; T' l! N4 E
6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
: J) ~& b3 Q3 K- ?6 W* qmonitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
! a: J; u- d" W( f/ Khigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
: M2 ~. E/ B9 `3 |3 Y+ Jaccordance with Students' Union policies.* h3 L9 G* ~( `; u5 }

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
" H1 {- A7 R  |$ Zhigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.3 K2 Q7 B: b$ n/ ^+ f
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  ' d4 s* H; D/ y* V, S
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies./ c2 l; \! K) s  b

9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
/ {* y: W$ t* O/ B$ DSenior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.; `$ c6 r; H; t  S% {% A

QUALIFICATIONS:9 P, j7 D9 c5 r% O* [, \0 R
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.) Q3 k5 N  P8 F) P; Z/ Y

$ A( {4 Z4 D& z+ o7 ?2 U2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
0 ]0 r! b7 i4 J9 H/ p$ @& t9 a/ roperation.
# \; F" w+ @4 a& _2 z' E+ S8 ?" j+ f# M3 _4 ^* Q
3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  7 w6 j$ J' t, @& U! a
accordance with Students' Union policy.& t3 r# c. J0 z, }9 _0 u" \

- z  b5 \# n! u  D: }; f4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.% E( D; d  ^2 _" A1 ]7 z6 T) }

0 j7 d. L% W+ r7 L  j5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  + L, q6 _+ E: M
