through Friday

# _. s% u0 S- ?9 S. mJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
1 |5 i. B( C) l% p" a, Z6 F0 WOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
2 n) c' x' @1 Xprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
* Q. D) L3 U3 }# gcleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
. H+ O- F; j! _/ u) R, N6 Ibeverage items.

6 f+ s1 t: _/ h2 X2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
bar and debit floats.

3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
each shift, and upon closing.

6 C$ g; d( G1 i# H4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
8 U3 X7 T, R5 _attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
* `; i2 ^6 m/ Q6 _. x  ^& N. p# xstorage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
, S/ Q" y# ^) \, rproducts, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

) L: i; W" V- w8 H6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
! Y% K/ j( a! O9 S- Yhigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
# X& P: ^' |1 U To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
% u+ F1 q3 Z& H3 F7 h% P# Z  PAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
7 F" f6 M8 ]# ZSenior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
operation.

3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
accordance with Students' Union policy.

! j+ D) _+ V# K: L# `* a4 I3 E4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

* q9 y! x' O# U( z2 v5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
Union staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic
