BARTENDER - Room At The Top (RATT) - includes some serving/ l0 M- A7 n  t4 B' ^6 V' Q

( ^" v3 B# D: k22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday  - W+ }. i' o7 ]5 P/ y. U4 j( N
through Friday

: K' b! _6 m8 |' i1 RJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
8 f0 G+ q: S$ |; F0 TOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
  h% ?/ K$ u( x& H# H( U1 Uprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
( J2 Q% i4 E( U% o5 ^! |5 xcleanliness and order in the bar.
" |! u6 e3 o# }. m) k: `$ D+ U# m6 V1 z; p$ K& f! t5 C3 ~  A- J
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ p6 ~# I( f' M8 e* k1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
2 A/ j! T9 |8 @' }$ Nbeverage items.
$ c- u1 U( M3 z' s# r1 K" I6 t
( t, S, B0 y+ x2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  ; _' i) \3 y' k9 a5 j: J8 V
bar and debit floats.5 V8 d2 k; c# J  j

7 N) l' p5 b+ ~1 R8 c1 X0 v3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
$ P  p0 R3 w4 r' o5 ueach shift, and upon closing.5 ~  Q" a3 f- O% }5 g

3 E* ~6 g) a3 {8 j6 A+ _3 B* G* x4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  ' w& f  D9 a* F! Y/ f% s9 s
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
* }% ^: d% A2 G' j4 |& q4 iseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.& @% i& g) R" S) I: r
$ X- I7 b6 g) j  o
5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
2 o* J  |) F/ H& w) e" Rstorage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
( N5 e6 r- p5 p5 qproducts, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.9 u7 X+ g# r3 `
7 [: E# t, H: f; b1 h$ F
6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  0 r# G( ?4 d) y
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
! ]0 E6 x) v' }/ p  Y. @6 _1 mhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
3 i( x0 [% L6 Q5 ?) `, O- Raccordance with Students' Union policies.
- h4 f8 y8 V% V0 C$ b8 T+ Q+ X' t
4 ]7 s0 u6 d5 {" v7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
* P2 E! u' U/ h" Khigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
" S. Z8 k5 ^1 Y+ m+ m4 |  p To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  : j2 X' V8 J7 k5 b/ |+ }: |* n- K
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

8 `: x: z8 y4 Y+ E: G9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
3 _. N1 Y5 p# F8 VSenior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

. }- v% n+ A5 K, S9 JQUALIFICATIONS:
2 ^" A' @; t6 w: t/ [8 Z1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.$ b* [0 i* l" ^

! A8 d7 D4 }: b2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  4 c6 v$ {* ?1 M7 d# {& w
operation.
/ m1 v' t" Z* W! }: X- B2 A$ a3 y7 b8 n& r$ Z4 d6 ~. a
3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
& {, K/ U, @) faccordance with Students' Union policy.

( U, {1 u) o3 Z# r3 Z2 o4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.0 d0 R" Y' v+ \, |

5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  3 S8 b& O- N! ?: h8 x; H

Wage: $7.73/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  ; }/ V% a8 u4 W9 e! n5 w
