1 e) E: C6 T# v& E( JJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
% V3 }6 u% |  n' Hcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
5 t9 Z+ ~; ~' Y2 Ncustomer service and room cleanliness.

$ a( Y8 [, H! B5 \' D# J' o& {DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.

2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
- n  E7 Q/ f2 ~  khigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
5 f2 A* I, R2 g0 d% E- waccordance with Students' Union policies.

- G$ [# D6 w  G( \: A- Z' q3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
0 Y! }6 h4 G  l% |including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
6 d+ y* B; C! v: |" t; b1 Jand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
2 l# w4 s6 g& A8 O, cintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
. P* w- ]* n. g. ?  U; s6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
5 F7 s5 z/ M$ E, }7 m" V0 UAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
7 ^; x) T7 L$ `+ ?, p7 w, ]Manager.

" p, M4 D8 O( L1 L8 OQUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
- t0 K0 N; \& Y4 ]# a4 `7 d
2 E5 L6 C4 M4 l  `  y' l3 r2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
1 @- G) |' ^- q- r! c# N4 I2 a! Z7 Xoperation.
5 O0 V4 o0 l& ~0 e! p
3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.
; E+ N: Y8 m( F
4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
- d4 S* k, ^* N/ r0 h5 Dcard transactions.

8 C3 L- v; a2 a- r# W1 ^$ B, U5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.
