11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
6 P/ H) H2 B" E6 o+ fcustomer service and room cleanliness.

; R+ L- ~9 O: i! D! T
* n) ~4 C( d. gDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
5 N/ I) \8 C. [' o2 g* B5 H' g1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.

& }# O. M( h# X1 i2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

! A1 H6 \: u% j9 |3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
; ?- A- a. a2 M- }! @  stotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

6 E, f* _9 E, Q* @8 ~4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
* i- v. C$ h6 n9 w) I1 }and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

2 l4 ^1 K' b- j3 B' z5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
1 n9 G% {4 }6 _# laction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
4 _1 p3 j$ E# V1 L2 i  ointervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
0 J7 N1 J3 Y. v; ]/ W" UAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

6 y% D6 Q7 n: J/ m7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

8 D6 f% I9 A$ o  ?2 |QUALIFICATIONS;
: j% T3 B% `& M3 T3 v1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
# z% y( C' W% D2 z
7 T( O1 L& D8 ]& u  w9 U2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.
* s* s, H, R: @; l# X
. W( N, J. z7 }+ ]6 s3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.

5 }! S. V, o# p2 w4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

) Y8 f3 @6 c; u  b$ |5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
2 r7 d! R9 k6 S: ^professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Union Position

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
