Salary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
+ v$ e& l0 ]6 L5 M9 T! n; G( ipay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
" l# W6 z  F7 `. J2 I  C- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
school year starts.

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
/ E+ b+ Z; }2 V7 J* K# a3 PCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
3 s- y7 \0 J- u7 s% ftheir program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
) D1 m6 v6 _, I3 m8 T3 {- eassisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
+ `  K& |) j) C; Q5 B3 |venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
, r, q; p! V( ?4 P! o* S6 }outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
% o- M0 c1 f- w. Y. ^excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
3 C/ Z' H; Q- R/ nexcursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
/ h9 b) m& x( n3 f5 @& C* ppresentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

9 Q! r! M$ _$ e, \' iQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
4 R! O5 I& P* \+ W' E$ ~: FCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
+ l* }- r" c$ ^' X+ Bfluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
6 E- Y: B- b+ [% \" |demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
3 b/ O  x$ A2 k; M; `+ ta variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
% w9 v/ s) C+ o. }skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
