Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
: I" P5 u6 G  K$ \2 E' ~* {8 ythe student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
  A% ]: i0 y& ]$ x5 x4 G9 S  {school year starts.

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
/ R3 K6 j0 C- d8 p$ v! Letc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
  J1 _. d" L$ ]% i) d4 Wparticipants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
: o( i) m' P9 [1 sassisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
  `; G3 \# P2 _& {venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
( T. L( M8 h: E% youtings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
2 M: x& U4 U: T8 C% Y/ `excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
' _0 W5 \4 R# A! }9 kexcursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
- X/ \& z  z8 S. E' S+ `functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
) ^9 P, [& G# ]3 `4 X  Q. Dsuch as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
8 s5 z1 ^, c. j8 Q% t& F. epresentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

$ G  q2 Q1 s5 m* F) cQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
! S+ ]4 h# H. s0 a7 Wfluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
2 u& N* O  h. X' y& [! Pa variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
# ]4 S+ W+ |3 \: p- b& g3 {Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
