, v  t  j+ L6 I) DDuties include: working closely with graduate students and research
9 O# q) o; S! D; |technicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
7 h( }) h* B. @. ?  L9 _5 G  F  tinclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
compounds by chromatography.

4 P" a% s! Z- V) Y* EQualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
Chemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
analytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
separations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
of a team essential.
This position will provide the candidate with experience in biochemical
6 \; i9 m' ]9 q8 Fand chemical research and would be ideal for students who ultimately
hope to work in these areas.
