Job Summary:& S$ b$ ?' @# s f
The Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.# U8 A' s2 `) _7 }# c

Schedule:

$ Z" A' N$ i& T+ g l. \- F7 A% `+ f: G; O- ]% M% s
Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials
8 C# T) D* s# L5 `+ T/ yInspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials
7 A; P/ t$ F# T' }Loads and unloads non-ferrous material9 _5 ]3 R" l* h8 |! t& J6 ]; q
Must be able to work safely at all times! v* z! ` T, m7 K- x) O9 H, l; j' _
Be able to effectively perform tasks independently
& ?7 c7 _1 w. @) j7 nPerforms routine housekeeping., x1 J/ [ T# g2 v1 v
Observes and reports any safety issues

Job Qualifications:

Understand and be able to grade all non-ferrous material properly: q) g2 A }! H2 I6 M6 M
Metal recycling industry experience is an asset8 ~# k# x, n. h% a% g. g
Experience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting2 O- ~' y2 S# }+ x& L) }
Knowledge of non-ferrous processing
0 f: [! [& ?" t2 }High school diploma (Or GED)
7 m2 Z/ h' i0 e( MWell-articulated and assertive. S4 g, ?2 z7 N; [1 O
Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization- O* ?* x+ m# s Y" I
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
