$ p8 {, @- a5 H3 q) qEDMONTON - A proposed property-transfer tax would reduce affordability by boosting the cost of an average Edmonton house by $4,000, says the Edmonton Real Estate Board.

"This is a home-buying tax," EREB president Carolyn Pratt said Wednesday in a news release.
