; a8 O1 Q* r# x' [' |8 zYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer1 }. r5 y: V. n( q5 d9 }7 x% n) X
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the% }! |, l. G0 U' m j
centre.
1 }, B4 Z- y: u, m% h% UThese responsibilities include:
2 m" B' v& m. Z6 f6 {-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
; ?3 z" N! Q6 Y$ m-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.9 _8 V: f3 x) E X2 A* \6 M
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and J% H6 P- q8 F! ? N
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
: z6 n5 R5 M) A* L5 c m# Y8 Dfacilities’ maintenance, etc. 6 o2 U$ V( P* d) x f4 G
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic
$ U" }" q, Z: C* q0 }clients’ files etc.

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
* y2 N( n* [/ ?) d5 `' i H1 Eeducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination

& q; M2 f" }) R. B DKnowledge/Technical competencies:- I; @. d3 n$ G y3 ]3 d) y
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
! A' R$ ~" [1 U% B-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word, u% Y4 z9 h" \ E
and Excel.
