Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and0 c( m/ f* A, G! L: }
weekend hours.
+ S4 [) M# }, ]+ P% qYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
! J% D1 J9 L, q1 dlab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the, _3 e7 f7 E6 B, s* V# M
centre.
R% P. x, a$ w; G _3 ?7 qThese responsibilities include:
" b7 p, G( v, I3 g1 s2 }4 k j# s-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
3 F. o4 X: _2 M2 n8 B-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.% x& W- V/ e2 Y8 ^
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and$ R8 d* A0 m# P$ W2 ]4 t6 X
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
( @0 I9 m0 M6 \7 a3 \. ?facilities’ maintenance, etc. # U; Q7 U& O$ X/ H3 y. P$ y, B& U
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic
! ?% D& v7 i) mclients’ files etc.

* B& u [$ U$ F% N/ vEducation:
8 W2 T. ^- s5 e-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
2 E- T6 g4 |+ x% N0 E/ ^' Heducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
1 ^7 a' M/ X r/ sof education, training and /or experience. 5 a7 b- t3 T& p! x e
Knowledge/Technical competencies:1 @; g- f* K0 Z- A
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system. t8 U$ N p( \ m4 D' O( I% |
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
