Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and

You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer$ x, ~8 \9 c: J' S# [! |
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the. N" P7 ^2 _; W! ^9 D& q1 P$ q
centre.' y; Q7 y0 E) Q6 s
These responsibilities include:) y. o/ t9 \' b, ?, f- K
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC." W/ W0 ^ k4 F/ O, I1 D( d9 F9 C
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
8 w( Z) G' e! u-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
' i. C; `4 G" t3 Srenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
$ y& n8 l/ w$ X1 p7 R+ |facilities’ maintenance, etc.
W: f4 a: r* L; b8 C. ]-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic 7 c) g# G) F q9 G7 N7 C$ W2 e
clients’ files etc.

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
( }6 ~3 ?* N, f/ t: ]; `education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination / L+ ~. g) d6 j( \0 q7 |" \9 Z
of education, training and /or experience.
' M# M+ a# u6 R& ?) BKnowledge/Technical competencies:* N! q. S& g* F3 c
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.) o1 q0 e! d, n5 K) q) a& i5 z
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word. P7 C$ K. C* c* S3 d- h9 b$ ^& V
and Excel. . w+ ?# q6 q" E0 p" W
-Experience using and updating an information database.

4 B4 q0 x) C: V-Experience in using MS Access.
4 N2 X/ y+ D0 A2 V-Experience in web page publication, xml and/or IT network knowledge.
