Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

( b9 k& C! @, ?  p0 h· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
1 p$ Z7 a$ v" [) t
· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

4 C- c: i+ M; y) \/ _- T· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

; z2 C; ]2 Z1 A* e# Z· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
& r( `* k4 ^3 ?: w
· Operate manual and automatic shifts
  v9 z$ P1 W1 _7 `  ~
· Secure loads safely

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
' F" f2 u% q* l7 l  A+ b, hQualifications and Training Requirements

· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license

· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

. P) N5 C- R& b8 a: D1 C- @· Load securement certification
& `8 m! H- j% I  E! M
· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills

5 h+ p8 e3 P8 _7 K! }# X· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
