Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

0 p7 }" X1 g0 M& I7 y6 i9 k+ k· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

" y6 L" \. q: X3 g· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely

) T  J- a3 h* d4 C· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements

% ]  K& E4 a) E& w& c% e. Q· Minimum 3 years experience
% i6 O" I9 h! {5 p6 k
1 j+ O( W* V, \/ \3 R7 E; g· Valid Class 1 license

· 5 years clean driving record and abstract
3 R! W3 y8 a" j  t, R6 P; F! L
· Load securement certification

· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

. z0 Q5 q  U+ R" A- ^& ~8 O· Excellent organizational and time management skills

2 h0 q8 |0 d3 x! \. ^3 y· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

/ v: s4 d- t* T1 C$ t) B· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac
