CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

  {6 ?' p5 J8 c8 s6 Z· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

; Z: ^2 g* T0 }( [/ }8 V· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

, H5 S6 @+ H2 m+ n! N; V' W· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

5 L# m2 ^' }5 n8 C· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

, ]  Q9 z+ ]( _8 l' x  L# u· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

: t) B: |. V( R/ e5 y. S- ]. [· Operate manual and automatic shifts

Qualifications and Training Requirements
; R. `3 C  D7 H; @
· Minimum 3 years experience
: j# b1 v, w& N
9 R, W' \# C2 e2 M· Valid Class 1 license

+ ]/ \  C+ n8 {* _" h& A1 W# Q7 g· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification

· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

· Excellent organizational and time management skills
+ `/ y; ~: B7 U7 a3 C; P
· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

2 N+ D& B1 Y6 f& A( L& g· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

3 @% \, a5 _* O0 y( A* S! O· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.
