Average house prices have hit half a million dollars in southwest Edmonton and almost $400,000 across the Capital region.$ i; L* h2 J* ?& x; {

“It is clear that housing prices have not yet peaked,” Carolyn Pratt, president of th Edmonton Real Estate Board said Wednesday, releasing the March sales figures from the Mutiple Listing Service.; |2 ]4 O7 l0 E$ v$ E
( |6 N& ^9 J* DEdmonton-area prices averaged $398,476 for single-family homes and $325,339 for all housing forms.1 Z2 G2 f! _" }& B& V M6 w8 M: G
# r8 J/ N. v6 E; ^& p, `$ ` V" v& pIn only the first three months of this year, average home prices have climbed 12.4 per cent, so Pratt has abandoned her earlier forecast of a 15 per cent increase for the full year.
