This position is an important role in the company where the successful candidate will lead the strategic sourcing of all required products and services.* e. P; D5 n- y0 Y0 u, M

The procurement officer is responsible for:5 B0 _; S2 G( ^
- Identifying and serving the needs of each business department4 M6 s; ], W. E
- Sourcing and evaluating local, national or international suppliers
1 V/ l2 d1 z0 V" L+ `- Negotiating terms, conditions and contracts% U9 ]) T, X3 E7 [" |& r7 T
- Building and managing supplier relationships- R: }6 e; a# `/ V' t
- Performing cost savings and profit margin analyses

- Sound research skills- L. }* _6 N, p1 A- A8 p" j
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills " z! M2 K- B. V7 i* q9 T! @! D
- Strong organization and time management skills 2 s* P# F- \# [6 a- U4 e h
- Friendly and outgoing personality
~& ]/ t* d! ]/ D9 c- Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook 8 e; R1 I$ e7 ^
- Cycle counting and adjusting experience preferred ) e: ?% w0 `2 B; |* h
- Experience with mechanical parts, welding materials, PPE and consumables for the construction industry is an asset
9 T4 _8 F! d& K5 W3 P! `: ?- Experience with Inventory control is an asset
