As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:
% T7 h* D& c! k. n( m. R" U
% v! h3 A5 h# x% I' Q4 X: v$ v- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
8 ^: Q3 g6 T8 {& Y+ d3 H- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants. ; `( L& Y6 r6 h, `" C2 a$ G9 k, d+ u
- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators. 7 k3 ?7 f L; T
- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures. 5 Z4 q: Q7 c0 j2 ^3 R) }/ u/ O
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence. # r l. P# G6 Q: y, X3 V; k
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).
! V, `2 D/ e+ u: E8 J: q- Managing shift expense budgets.

Experience and Education Requirements* O$ H# @, d2 o5 ~

- Previous supervisory experience + w0 k& O) u; a% a4 T- @
- Strong leadership skills
: h. ^/ n. [( W/ j/ k) y. ~) h6 X- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
7 r: ~$ J& \+ X1 Q3 \: ?- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
9 @2 J, _6 M2 _. z8 b- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
2 j& E/ G+ g! g- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.5 W! v1 b0 ?* g; s
