1984: Triple Five Corporation, developer of West Edmonton Mall, buys property from Woodward's and spends $25 million on renovations., ^. E/ P* {" U
" L3 n: Q( ^6 O/ ~3 C8 P2000: New owner Dundee Developments spends $30 million on facelift. Safeway moves to the mall's south end, and Zellers enlarges its store. 2003: Sandalwood Management buys mall and starts adding stand-alone stores on "pad locations."" W9 a* l* N: g/ D; j3 O
+ c6 Q& P/ Z! A% oMARCH 15, 2007: First Capital Realty Inc. pays $70 million for Westmount Shopping Centre and plans to demolish part of the shopping centre between Zellers and Shoppers Drug Mart and build a $21-million Home Depot.
