Canada North Camps Inc. (14238 – 134 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5L 5V8) is looking to hire a full-time Cook who could be responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of food items while maintaining a clean and safe work environment adding to an all-around pleasant dining experience for our customers.
Duties:
- Prepare sandwiches, salad bar and other high quality meals
0 N+ }  h. @  T4 {- Supervise kitchen staff
- Ensure kitchen staff follow company safety practices
- Plan menus, estimate food costs, order supplies
- Manage kitchen operations
; x& E6 u9 E# T/ m& x- Maintain acceptable levels of food production
5 d6 u; @! k+ G: ~( X! _- Work night shifts, as necessary
# [8 _3 h+ V9 a2 o) U$ d7 b& XRequirements:
' N4 }; K0 `) Q; Z- Completion of college or other program in cooking is mandatory. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in restaurant / hospitality/ culinary arts is considered an asset.
. f  T1 f- a1 K" v2 o9 M- Minimum 2 years of previous experience as Cook in a fast-paced environment is mandatory.
# I( E  S8 w! W! B. ]- Good proficiency in English.
! }3 b# d: Q& e, n( y: r6 u- Highly organized.
. c' f1 y2 ]8 K& `+ V' wThis is a contract, full-time position.
% F- y& J3 x: {Working hours: 10 hours per day, 70 hours per week.
" X# U- h' n+ m8 _& N4 KWorking schedule: 21 days on and 7 days off.
. _& o# g- N" S% U2 oSalary: $160.00 per day. After 3 months of employment, medical, dental, disability and pension plan benefits will be available.
