Canada North Camps Inc. (14238 – 134 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5L 5V8) is looking to hire a full-time Cook who could be responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of food items while maintaining a clean and safe work environment adding to an all-around pleasant dining experience for our customers.
Duties:
7 V6 X: E0 o& f  K, l- Prepare sandwiches, salad bar and other high quality meals
- Supervise kitchen staff
! q: K! Q! }7 P+ H2 T- Ensure kitchen staff follow company safety practices
- Plan menus, estimate food costs, order supplies
- Manage kitchen operations
- Maintain acceptable levels of food production
9 A# D! f% c/ W4 P+ M) Y- Work night shifts, as necessary
4 e) w' P0 D5 \) P, T& P- C/ {Requirements:
- Completion of college or other program in cooking is mandatory. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in restaurant / hospitality/ culinary arts is considered an asset.
; c# b( R9 r& E  [! ^" [: o) y- Minimum 2 years of previous experience as Cook in a fast-paced environment is mandatory.
8 w4 X$ B  M% P0 e' Y7 K1 G# w- Good proficiency in English.
; D' J& _1 n8 O9 R7 D! P2 y- Highly organized.
This is a contract, full-time position.
Working hours: 10 hours per day, 70 hours per week.
8 ?0 G5 B, c/ \8 y" SWorking schedule: 21 days on and 7 days off.
Salary: $160.00 per day. After 3 months of employment, medical, dental, disability and pension plan benefits will be available.
