Today I was volunteering at a post office. A man in an old jacket with uncombed hair came to the counter. He had a wallet in his hand, and put it on the counter. He told me:

I did not understand what he meant by "it", because usually people would send a letter or a parcel back to the sender, and I did not see he had any of those. So I asked him:
& ~5 N* t$ a( Q" ]; L! Y "I am sorry, what are you sending back?" 4 Q; _ @; U: E3 X# G" U4 C
He said, "the Wallet, I am sending back the wallet." Then he added: "I am going to pay the postage."
% Y F( m8 L% ` s) B( c"Oh, you found a wallet, and you are going to send it back to the person who lost it?"
^& K; r8 B8 U4 v* `) \3 y3 v: U"Yes, I did."
0 h4 f( ?' A: I8 gFinally I understood: this dishevelled man found a wallet, and he was going to return it to the owner by post. 6 `. c( |8 f' a( p3 p8 M
He took the ID card from the wallet, and showed me the address of the loser of the wallet. I saw there were several one-hundred bills in the wallet.
+ p; J- n3 x v7 @7 H7 |"Are you going to take some money from the wallet to pay the postage?"
, I0 C( n8 n; d"No, I am not. I do not do those things."
$ k6 A8 `2 Y9 o$ Q8 B6 R5 }. Q5 aHe took out his wallet, which was nearly worn-out, small, and almost empty. There were some coins inside.
& G L- m. p& e, \2 Q4 c$ P. e TI gave him a bubbled envelope, and instructed him where to write the addresses. He wrote the owner's address, but stopped at writing a return address. He asked:
, c0 A/ y8 V/ x6 H. g"Is it okay that I do not write this part?"3 E/ ^3 x3 k- f0 d) m
"Yes, you may." I thought he must want to be a nameless hero. But he said:
3 y( m0 ^. K: K7 c E. N"I do not have an address."

My heart had a sudden jump. I realized that this is a homeless man who found money but was sending it back to the person who lost it.
( f h% i$ Z6 _5 l0 fHe did not a posses a home, but he had a big heart. He had the precious fortune of being a man of integrity. . F$ A( _4 S) ?2 O! B
