警方调查显示,今年8月15日到九月19日之间，这家运输公司向Yellowhead 和170街的垃圾回收站运送了1907车次垃圾。每车次最少超重一吨，最高超载17.9吨。

1 |) g" z. ~; y& W  i# i1 mA police investigation revealed that between August 15 and September 19, the unnamed company made 1,907 trips to the waste management facility located on Yellowhead Trail and 170 Street.
) `( g1 n. T. I- X* y, v" qPolice say the trucks were transporting loads that were overweight by a least one tonne each visit. One truck was recorded as being 17.9 tonnes overweight.
% g: U  Q7 T6 n9 S( A"The company is facing a fine of just over $3 million dollars," said EPS Const. Dave Beattie. "It's a big fine, I'll give you that, but for the police it's not about the value of the fine, it's about keeping these roads safe."
% T4 w% W- y; p7 Q& lBeattie explains that with overweight vehicles, braking can be a problem.
"The last thing I'm sure you, and any of us want, is to be in front of a vehicle that is basically 17 tonnes over what it's allowed to be on the road when you stop at a red light."

The company is due in court on Thursday, December 3.
