To my understanding, ANYONE came to Canada as a "VISITOR" is not a resident at all, your temporary visit visa indicated your PRIMARY resident is not here even you have lived here for 12 month.6 T, S: h! F3 f8 J, u
However this is just my perspective of this, don't argue with me. Several times I asked such question when I encountered with FW officer, I obtained different answers.
