shaved perfectly applied, even though he is legally blind, moved to a

His wife of 70 years recently passed away, making the move necessary. ! e# t/ n, w' ]1 X+ L9 C
After many hours of waiting patiently in the lobby of the nursing home,

7 N) M% S0 R1 R2 p: G/ CAs he maneuvered his walker to the elevator, I provided a visual
. a+ V4 h! V1 e2 k$ Y. t8 t# Z) w, pdescription of his tiny room, including the eyelet sheets that had been

"I love it," he stated with the enthusiasm of an eight-year-old having 6 l7 G8 h0 i! [: x3 S: ^
just been presented with a new puppy.

"Mr. Jones, you haven't seen the room; just wait."

"That doesn't have anything to do with it," he replied.

$ `2 Z {0 B% V5 M0 g% [' W"Happiness is something you decide on ahead of time. Whether I like my
; u# d8 F1 p3 Groom or not doesn't depend on how the furniture is arranged ... it's how 7 G7 B! Q, Q6 k n$ z& A" s7 c
I arrange my mind. I already decided to love it." 8 u7 `) ?$ r( E( E6 L& z8 }
! e- b9 [) D8 e! B" ?' M; m0 t, ?5 T, }It's a decision I make every morning when I wake up. " U; {8 t& V1 a5 W( g! x# C m

I have a choice; I can spend the day in bed recounting the difficulty I 3 x7 e2 D' b1 ^
have with the parts of my body that no longer work, or get out of bed - {5 W" j( {% l) q2 c
and be thankful for the ones that do. # m3 S, T Q6 a' `
4 }( O8 q4 m f3 l: lEach day is a gift, and as long as my eyes open I'll focus on the new
/ f2 o! t$ i8 R3 d0 ~day and all the happy memories I've stored away.

$ F( u; O; m/ J6 \7 O$ GOld age is like a bank account. You withdraw from what you've put in.

% j2 G% m2 J8 i {9 F. USo, my advice to you would be to deposit a lot of happiness in the bank
