Newcomers are being offered some help when shopping for a home in Edmonton’s tight housing market.
: v: U9 m- Y% q! k% r/ JImmigrant women and their families can now access a “household toolkit” crafted by a local service group for new immigrant families, through real estate agents. % O! C A! O; Q. A
" O/ t$ M3 a% R& n% [% JIn the tool kit are 75 common hand tools – like a hammer and screwdriver – as well a book on how to buy a home, a home maintenance schedule and other items. ) e8 D# e8 h1 T9 @; m

The program was announced by a group called Changing Together… A Centre for Immigrant Women.
